Great axe, if it were lost, I'd definetly find another.

    Schecter C-1 ExoticPublished on 05/22/13 at 22:55
Made in S. Korea, Schecter high rock II humbuckers, 24 fret, ebony fret board, 2 volume 1 tone pull up split for single coil sound, 3 way selector switch, 6 strings thru body, Schecters adjustable bridge, exotic star centered at 12th fret. Dots are on upper edge of fret board very distinguished none on face, neck solid thru.

    UTILIZATION

Double cut away for ease of access to top frets, extreme cleans, awesome distortion lightweight in comparison to my Fender Stratocaster.

    SOUNDS

I play this thru a vox tonelab le split into a fender blues junior III, and a pignose 60R studio reverb, miked into a mixing board to a PA system. When needed I loop into a Kustom Quad 100DFX. Chic…

Chicken picking, chunking, phaser, compressed, country, modley, clean, great for heavy distortion all around sweet axe.

    OVERALL OPINION

Great value for price especially with what you can get them for used today, if you can find one. I have numerous other guitars including Fender, Hagstrum, Taylor, Washburn. They each serve a purpose. Love the Schecter especially for distortion rock, playability. The ebony fret board is fast. One thing I did was put Elixer Polyweb strings .010-.046 on, the 9s did not do this guitar justice, my opinion to each their own sound. Compare this guitar to $1000 and up it is a beautiful solid guitar a wall hanger of which you don't need to pay the big dollars to get you going. Don't judge this axe by someone on you tube playing thru trashy equipment. This opinion is on a Schecter Exotic guitar bought new in 2006 it does not have C-1 on the truss rod cover it says exotic star. C1 was not on the box or paperwork.

playing in a band with style-mix between
    blackmetal,grind,punk and other stuff...

bought via internet at a german distributer of schecter with 30 days money back guarantee...
    i payed 640 euro...

i did like the really exotic style, the form and the light-weight..

first: the guitar was not high quality made, the white binding was unregular on the upper side of the neck...

sound: unplugged without the nice resonance a mahagoni-guitar should have; a epiphone sg special sounded better and opener and louder (unplugged) than the schecter!!!
played plugged and with gain, the schecter superrock-pickups push alright at deeper tones, but don`t offer enough clarity and power to upper notes. In ge…

played plugged and with gain, the schecter superrock-pickups push alright at deeper tones, but don`t offer enough clarity and power to upper notes. In general the sound of the schecter was quite compressed...

the strings were much too high from the fingerbord ( for my taste) und did sizzle, when trying to put them nearer to the neck...
the quality was not that of a 640 euro guitar...for this money i don`t want to have variation in the binding and think of a good playability!
good that i could send it back easily...

i was quite disappointed of the schecter exotic star and don`t wonder, why the price is sinking the last months from 799 euro to 640 euro now!!!
the sound and quality is not that of a 640 euro guitar...

This is a wonderful instrument. It balances perfectly, is not too heavy, and it plays very well - the neck is incredible. The pickups (Super Rock II by Schecter) are of a quality that I'd put them up there with the best boutique brands available - they're that good. The hardware is top notch - the TonePros bridge and Grover hardware provide incredible tuning stability. The look of the guitar is understated, yet classy, with the natural finish on top of flame maple, as well as the binding.

    SOUNDS

These pickups are great! The Super Rock II pickups astounded me - they deserve to be marketed and sold separately. To use a baseball analogy, I think Schecter has a grand slam on its hands with these pickups. Unfortunately they were only available on this particular short-lived model of guitar! They split very well also, with the push-pull coil tapping.

Pickups aside, the guitar is very loud and vibrant when played acoustically. I really can't think of a genre this guitar would not excel in!

    OVERALL OPINION

This is a fantastic instrument, all the way around. I wish they made more of them, and I wish there was a 7 string version as well. I wish there was a version with a piezo element in the bridge....this guitar is so nice, I wish I had a variety of them with slightly different features, just because the neck and body are so perfect for me!
