Winter NAMM 2012 News
You can find these guitars fairly easily for write around $100 or so. They're not that expensive of an acquisition and if you're looking for something that's a little bit better built and I would go with something that is Korean made because they seem to hold up a lot better build standards. These guitars are not of high quality and you ...
All in all I think this "Strat" really isn't what it should be to hold the Fender name. It feels cheap and low quality, the parts really don't work as they should (the tremolo is awful cast metal that falls out of tune if you even look at it) and the tones are just... bleh. Not worth considering at all unless you're planning to buy it as a mod p...
All in all I think the Squier Vintage Modified Fat Strat is a great deal for someone looking for a reasonably priced fat strat that can really rock for not a lot of cash. The gun metal finish is really cool, the feel is nice and slick, and the tones have a lot of punch to them. The quality control isn't 100% up to par, but with a bit of minor wo...
All in all I think the Squier Deluxe Strat is a great idea with less than average execution. The quality wasn't really up to par and the tones, while decent, really didn't do much for me. It could be better with some work, but given that they're about $275 new, you'd still end up putting another 200 dollars into it to upgrade, and by then it's n...
All in all I think the Squier Deluxe Series Hot Rails Strat is a decent guitar. It offers a cool rocky look and great sounding rail pickups for heavier music. The fit and finish really leaves something to be desired so be prepared to put in a little bit of work if you want this thing to play like butter. At $280 new it's priced on the average si...
All in all I think the Squier Classic Vibe '60s Strat is a great deal for someone looking for an affordable vintage style Strat that plays great, sounds great and is priced great. At about $350 new, it's hard to find this kind of value in anything else out there, and given Squier's increased quality control as of late, they're much more consiste...
Overall, this is a good choice for someone looking for a lower-midline Strat guitar. It compares very favorably to the Classic Vibe, series, only it offers some more modern looks, and a much glossier neck. If that sounds like your bag, this is the axe for you. 8 out of 10.
Again, it's a bland guitar. I love a lot of Fender products, and even a few Squier products, but this is not one of them. Please, if you're a parent looking to buy a kid his or her first guitar, consider the Ibanez Mikro series instead of these. They are much better quality guitars, and will keep the kid from getting discouraged better than this...
Overall, if your looking for a guitar to start out on or to give to you kids this is the one. When i first got this guitar it use to buzz and pop really bad when you would touch anything metal. This was caused from lack of shielding. actually there was no shielding inside i opened it up and it was just bare wood. however with a roll of aluminum ...
At new you can find these guitar so right around $300 and less. I seen them for around $250 but they usually range around the price of $280. They generally come with the gig bag and a cable in most cases so they have everything that you need to get started other than the amplifier tuner that you would need to get started. This is a good guitar f...
