Gibson Shred V
By Cannonball on Jul 26, 2008 at 9:08:06 AM
Gibson introduces the Shred V, a Flying V-shaped electric guitar.

According to Gibson, this guitar - which is the August 2008 model in the brand's Guitar Of The Month series - aims at taking the style and attitude of the Flying V a step further.

Equipped with two EMG 85 pickups and a new Kahler 2285 tremolo, the Shred V is outfitted with a black chrome hardware matching the guitar's ebony finish. Matching Gibson's traditional Flying V profile (which is basically a hybrid between the standard '50s rounded contour and the '60s slim taper profile), the neck is one-piece mahogany with an ebony fingerboard and unique black acrylic dot inlays. The locking Grover tuners permit to keep the guitar in tune even when dive bombing.

This limited production model (only 1,000 instruments will be available) ships with a custom Gibson "Guitar Of The Month" case for an MSRP of $3,499.00.
