Proximity to powered speakers 2-way Bass Reflex.
The finish is very good, as well as rendering and power.
You can plug the openings to the low rduire if they turn in your studio (Looking back, etc., etc.
SOUNDS
The curve frequency drives is neutral with a small spike in hts mediums which you get used very quickly.
Attention in the low as it dscend qd same 38 Hz, which is excellent for such small volume. We tandence to beginners wanting to keep the bass you hear and in the end they are too important for other costs ... A little habit.
The image is good with Stereo sound prcis and clear and especially that no fatigue.
Very good dynamic variations in the precision of Equ on the console.
Mdiums good.
MODIFICATION March 2005: APRS qq years of use, I find it important to even a dsiquilibre between low frequencies and the rest.
Too low touffent spectrum and you have to work a volume large enough so that the spectrum s'quilibre "a little" down .. Note ---> 6 / 10 instead of 8 / 10
MODIFICATION June 2010: Having worked the sound of my studio, I realize that low due taient circling the room acoustics.
I can mix Submitted by having it properly learned his default (too low), so used me ..
OVERALL OPINION

The M1 Active colors are somewhat neutral, but all the same, unlike the NS 10, which are not neutral as we can tell, but that sound like cardboard!
I found a little sound of Genelec I appreciate that for less money and better down the bottom.
I think they are good to suprieures Tannoy Reveal, Event or other Divatech.
Trs good choice ... There are cheaper but less and vice versa, Obviously!
EDIT: Can be a little more color but the Mackie HR824 seem more balanced and I would do the selection of Mackie.
