What motivated me was the fact that indeed down to 20Hz, use in home studio, and for listening to music. Used in conjunction with my M-Audio M3-8, I prefer to use elements of the same brand when it is possible, for stories sound rendering. Then I like having a pedal to turn the sub, very convenient condition mix.

Then the price has motivated me is the cheapest in this category.

SOUNDS

So Me, my M3-8 Descending quite well in the 60-70Hz, I cut the sub above 60Hz, to avoid a bidding low, and two because beyond 80 90Hz it drooling, and this is not very happy. Nevertheless it is a sub and it is done to highlight the ... Subs!

It is very powerful, so I use it quite low, otherwise it is in excess (at least for styles that do not affect the world of electro).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 4-5 months, I love the price and the use I'm in home studio is fine to start, waiting for my productions allow me to buy a sub to petantemille! The value for money is right, which is very nice.

the filter, it is perfect, I paired my sub with Tapco s8, I made the acid techno therefore need sub .... and then not worry!

SOUNDS

the sound seems to me neutral, clear and precise, but without comparison element not easy! Anyway on a big sound system when I'm in my sub provision are present, so the sbx 10 does a good job in the studio! the stereo image on the sub then I can not see!! and dynamics without any problems!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 4 months, 1 h per day on average, sometimes 4/5 h the sound is better hair once the hot box!

Ever tried to sub in monitoring before! And really I took my big quality productions with this sub.

What made me choose this model is primarily the ability to filter my monitoring Tapco s8 (which I like), then the price, brand and value of the housing report.

I remake this choice with his eyes closed ... of course it's next budget.

I use it for about 2 years, this is my first subwoofer.

At first it is trapped! Allowed to do that infra, and loudly! And that is all down ugly ...

Then little by little, we return to more reasonable settings, we go back a little filter, and the volume down a bit, and all is well!

The sound is really nice, do not hesitate to leave fairly low volume point of view, it is there just to emphasize the bass, not sub you invade that serve no purpose.

Bypass (a little temperamental!) And very convenient because it allows time to time to make "breaks" in terms of low, while continuing to play / mix on the speakers, a respite for our ears does not wrong!

I guess there are better, but it is more expensive

I prviens dj: I did not put 10 around the box because it's perfect, I have only one other test (the old m-audio MODEL) and I am not an expert in the Contents, so my notes would be meaningless ...

it is big enough (see manufacturer site for the character) and strong.
the grid on the woofer is a good thing it's fragile things l.
it's probably not solid wood home mre great, but what I heard when the record is even honnte trs. Volume provides some fairly consquent rendering capacity elsewhere.

Rglages Rear:
- On / off
- Volume
- Phase (phase rgler for monitors with touch ... not too much yet, but actually affect some aa. I left it in my case because zero is what allows rendering without empitement between the box and monitors, but must be reviewed for each configuration)
- High pass filter for monitors (which are then connected to it)
- Low pass filter for subwoofer

principle: the sound from the subwoofer, the subwoofer output on monitors.
the two filters are used to adjust the band frequency drives is left of the box, and that we send on the monitors. SETTING THE enables the phase when it was part of the spectrum to avoid common to both the phnomne phase which could cancel some frequencies.

in my case, I left the two filters at least on the same rglage (40Hz)
that's what prconis to the 'studio', as other rglages plutt orients hi-fi or home cinema. and indeed, if we send above 40/50 Hz in the housing, a low swell srieusement and rendering is wrong from a certain neutrality I confirm APRS try!

So with all rglages zero (except the volume sr good) was a box to receive rgl trs low frequencies, which fills the lack of small monitors like MSP5 , or BX5.

I'm not an expert, but I found a prcis relatively neutral (making sure to stay at least the filter for the subwoofer).

for a cost 'fun' can cause the filter and the sound, but the neighbors should not have because admont doors-windows

OVERALL OPINION

I redid some mix of songs with / without the box to compare.
an example that résumé: with our live dub (http://www.volfoniq.com - subliminal advertising) there are two pieces which (see below) so low taient RULES fotes (and in the lower spectrum) that makes the piece a muted limit!
I tried on a radio and a chain of living: indeed, gav low.
rergle I was on a song, sounds good on a box and monitors, I retested in car radio and hi-fi: nickel.

not much else to say.
it can be a NCESS not work if you know the eq and VU meters, but in my case has helped me a lot!

I use it for 2weeks, I did not try other models. I connect with a pair of yamaha HS80M.
At first I found the bass from Yamaha terrible ..... but since I take this music box from another dimension. Is deep (down to 20Hz) and precise. I really like, you can feel the vibration in the heart.
I listen and mix of dubstep and drum'n'bass, I really need big bass well defined.
What I like most is that at any volume the bass is well presented.
Once set the proportional volume with yamaha and a little EQ on the console, the bass is good but the hum (I've already heard multimedia boxes or low-end hifi refile a migraine so low was vague and strong)
I like this month is the neighbors who come knocking at the door for me to drop the volume ^ ^

I just buy a fishing expedition on its technical features, and I am very satisfied!

These monitors have a high frequency response, great feel for bass. The controls on the back is all you need, also has XLR outpouts. Nothing missing, really.

Price paid: $500

SOUNDS

The sound on the Soundphile SBX is superb. I've tried Behringer before this but that's not match to this one.

OVERALL OPINION

The quality is great but could be better. Sometimes you feel that you're not getting full potential of these monitors.

I would have to say I love these a 9/10. They are pro-level and can comply with high standards.
