What determined my choice:
- Active, powerful enough (20 W RMS) for my listening room (~ 25 m2) and proximity of use (~ 1.10 m). Compact!
- 2-way, one woofer and a tweeter of good quality, very correct filtering. A real cabinet in MDF with unrivaled acoustics (plastic = yuck!).
- No external power supply, a pair of 6.35 mm Jack came into balanced, a mini-jack input on the front, provided cables, finish and design copies of a leaflet in French.
Usage:
- Monitor for listening to local artwork, small mixing, cleaning and restoring audio.
- Use multimedia generally sound playback of movies.
- Ability to take them quite easily on a workplace.

SOUNDS

The curve is not bad, but I do not like the acute, occasionally occur that I find bland, scrub and precision crafted. That said it is not aggressive and respects the stamps, the dispersion is homogeneous and its placement in the stereo is pretty good. The bass is very clean (but not necessarily down low), as the medium. However, it lacks the presence and warmth in its upper part. The lower register is very correct with respect to the size of the transducer, accurate, light-colored and not flattering for a penny! The distortion level is low, no problem. The phase response of the coupling medium, which degrades the depth and topography of investments in space returned as part of a wider stereo recording.
The sound is clear, really, does not bleed and the dynamic is there, despite the small size and 20 W. The sound pressure level is very good given the limitations of size and power. The formwork MDF does wonders in terms of natural reproduction ...

OVERALL OPINION

- Received the same day! I will update this opinion based on my findings in the longer term.
- What I like least are the grilles are not removable, the bass-reflex on the back (which requires an investment more difficult), lack of a standby button on the front.
I also preferred rubber feet or parts of decoupling in place of the foam adhesive very inefficient and very fragile.
- I have tried many monitors as part of my job: Triangle, Audio 33, Focal (JM Lab), Dynaudio, Tannoy, JBL, etc., but all at prices out of proportion ...
- The price / quality ratio is exceptional, no competitors in this price range.
FYI, the British pound is at its lowest, I advise you to order the United States (€ 107 port UPS 48 hours included: http://www.dv247.fr/ ). Only plug the power cable is to be changed or the power cord (2 / 3 €).
- Oh yes, this Forchetta price (less than € 150), this choice I would do 100%!
