[NAMM] Alesis JamDock
By TonyBruno on 01/17/2009 at 10:26:22
Alesis announces JamDock, a dock for iPod designed specifically for practicing musicians.

The JamDock is on display at the 2009 NAMM Show in Anaheim, Calif., January 15 — 18, 2009 at the Alesis booth, number 6400.

Musicians can connect and mix in instruments, including electronic drums, and send the resulting mix to the stereo outputs and headphone output.

JamDock enables musicians to mix their iPod and instrument and practice or play backing tracks live. JamDock has two 1/4-inch inputs that work with both line-level sources and high-impedance guitars and basses. The inputs sum to mono when there is only one side present, so the musician hears their guitar centered in their headphones. A pair of 1/4-inch outputs feed amplifiers or PA systems and a 1/4-inch stereo output feeds headphones.

JamDock comes with a free minusDrums.com music-track subscription for fun play-along sessions.

Availability & Pricing
JamDock will be available from musical instrument and pro audio retailers in Q2 at an MSRP of $149.99 and an estimated street price of $99.99.
