SOUND QUALITY
I love the sound of this unit is clear. I also have a 5051 TLA tube, well there's no picture, one has good bass and clear treble and air, the other is medium and soft.
The addition of a transformer on the input circuit to color the sound (iron switch) does not interest me, I find the sound any more accurate the shot. Matter of taste ...

OVERALL OPINION
Sort this out before me with the preamp of my audiophile 24/96 which is what it's worth. Then I had this preamp but it has long been at a friend of mine. Only recement that I could finally take me to book and more common. I had the same time the TLA 5051 for my comparisons.
The ONEQ suffers from a saturation unsightly if you push it to 50 db, AC is not very pro, try to stay below and instead increase the output level.
The opto is not easy to handle, unfortunately. It remains an opto low price, it is always interesting. The enhancer I avoid this kind of treatment to taking it like the plague. The EQ is correct, I never used to the track. The de-esser is nice, but nothing memorable.
Conclusion: excellent little device, especially for that price, it will be hard to beat elsewhere in this range. I love the XLR / jack front plugguer ultra convenient for its static or his guitar. Like the development of sound, certainly rock (and so I want to say).
I highly recommend it to beginners and what goes upmarket to have finally taken their drinking, especially on the second hand market very alive.
I would ask just the question if he will make decision-stereo sound (for a more natural spatialization in a mix) and in this case directly to the switcher TwinQ. If not for the same price, if the absolute transparency is your hobby, you oriented to grace the unknown design 101 in the same price range.
