Overall the SP5500 is ok-ish. My problem with it is that the velocity response is terrible - if you play quick 8ths you are unable to reach full velocity after the first key strike... it peaks around a value of 60-75 after the initial strike. If you play slowly you can get a full velocity response from it. Not good (velocity data measured from M...
I am very happy with my purchase of the P35 and I look forward to keeping it for a while.
This piano has lasted a long time in the studio and also for some live gigs. It feels great, more like a piano and less like a plastic keyboard. I don't think the Yamaha P-60 feels like a $10,000 piano, but it definitely 'feels' better than the $500 piano that I grew up on learning the piano. Comparing this keyboard to other keyboards, it defi...
Also the fact that is has no MIDI and no audio in or audio out means you cannot use it for anything else. It is very light and portable, but there is no use in taking it anywhere to perform if no one will be able to hear you.
The only thing that the Yamaha P 105 could improve is the speaker system. But for the money it cost you cannot really expect to get a better speaker system. I recommend if you are going to get this digital piano to go out and get a good external speaker or monitor to use instead of the on board speakers. You will get a much better sound and a so...
Overall, you will love what you get with the SP4-7 . Only thing that it is missing is a sequencer which you really will not need for this style of digital piano. The board is very well built and everything seems to be able to hold up, the knob and buttons don’t seem to be as well built and I would be scared that over time they will not hold up. ...
The touch and response on the V Piano is amazing, with the ivory feel of the keys you will have to remind your self that you are at a digital piano and not a grand. We have used the Roland V Piano to record audio (stereo) into Pro Tools, there was no effort involved with that process because it was just audio out, going into the audio interface....
Overall, possibly the best option for someone looking for a multi purpose digital piano and keyboard for live performances. Its light and very affordable, you just can not go wrong with it. I have been using the Privia PX 3 for 2 months now and I love it and plan to keep using it for as long as it holds up , which is hopefully forever.
Value for the price of the CP 300 is respectable, and the sound quality of the instruments are very good. I recommend people looking at the CP 300 to take a look at the Yamaha P 155. It is lighter, easier to move and has better sounding piano’s, and it is a lot cheaper!
Overall, it is a very good sounding electric piano but after using it and seeing the price I was not going to spend that money for it when that money could get me so much more than just an digital piano.
