I was looking for a sound card that makes no compromise with quality. For the record, I had a HD2 with omni before. But so disappointed with this closed system and does not need that after all of bcp IN / OUT, a good sound card enough, with an I / AES EBU was a determining factor for me O, because I used parallel digital preamps with only AES EBU output. The primary use is on protools on both my mac pro but also on a MBP, and it takes all sounds sense to use a card in all conceivable situations, no limit for a card / 2 I O. ..

UTILIZATION

drivers are super stable and no need to update them regularly because precisely, they are stable. no limits with this card, you can do anything.

GETTING STARTED

In use, the start is a little long time to understand how this mixer sub software layer, but once the principle understood is much more happiness as configurable as desired, insert plugs can be supported by the DSP card, as more ....

OVERALL OPINION

That's 4 years since I use it daily, and say, I'm not going to change because so far, 0 errors, 0 failures, 0 problems and especially compared to anything I've had before (Motu 896HD, Digidesign 02R, 03R Digidesign, Digidesign HD2 + omni) is by far the one that delivers the best sound quality. 'll Regret, sometimes I think a driver under Windows would let me go do some session with some friends who are on this platform, but really it is to say something negative. For everything else, thank you Mr. Metric Halo :)
