Characteristics
Amp all-tube 30 Watts, but can operate in either 15 Watts or 7.5 Watts. Presence of two channels, clean and dirty, can connect a footswitch to change channels, and the presence of an effects loop. The amp has 3 speaker outputs, two 8 Ohms and 16 Ohms. Not integrated reverb (damage).
The finish is perfect, and if we do not say that it's Made in China, it is impossible to guess.

Ampli tout lampes de 30 Watts, mais qui peut fonctionner au choix en 15 Watts ou en 7,5 Watts. Présence de deux canaux, clean et dirty, possibilité de brancher un footswitch pour changer de canal, et présence d'une boucle d'effets. L'ampli possède 3 sorties HP, deux de 8 Ohms et une de 16 Ohms. Pas de réverbération intégrée (dommage).
La finition est parfaite, et si on ne dit pas que c'est du Made in China, il est impossible de le deviner.

Utilization
Operation is child insofar as there are only 3 knobs per channel (volume, treble adjustment and bass management for the clean channel, volume, gain, and a single EQ knob called "shape" for dirty channel. hyper manual is optional.
We place all at noon and at first it sounds right now (I leave at Mesa Boogie, I can say that from this point of view it changes me ...)
Soon, we hack a bit and found what you want, not need to have done ten years studying sound engineering to make it sound is super intuitive!
For power, this is the top for me, this amp is capable of playing all the usual conditions, and this OPERATING IN THE LAMPS, which is almost never the case when it has 100 watts of tube .. .
Note that the 30 Watts are very powerful ...

L'utilisation est enfantine dans la mesure où il n'y a que 3 potards par canal (volume, réglage de treble et réglage de basses pour le canal clean ; volume, gain, et un potard unique d'égalisation baptisé "shape" pour le canal dirty. Le manuel est hyper facultatif.
On place tout à midi dans un premier temps et ça sonne tout de suite (je sors de chez Mesa Boogie, je peux dire que de ce point de vue ça me change...)
Très vite, on bidouille un peu et on trouve ce qu'on veut, pas besoin d'avoir fait dix années d'études en ingénierie du son pour le faire sonner, c'est hyper intuitif !

Incredible versatility! If a year ago someone had told me that I resell my Mesa Boogie head to buy Orange "Made in China", I would not have believed it.
Yet! I tried to get three sounds: clean as possible organic, beautiful vintage style overdrive and a large distortion. On my previous amps, I often had two of these sounds, and I had to go through a pedal to get the third.
I have owned many pedals, including the high-end, and that the ultimate conclusion that I finally made: in terms of overdrive and distortion, NOTHING replaces the grain of a good tube amp.
Hence these three sounds are in the box: the clean channel delivers a super clear sound, dynamic and friendly (good reverb in the loop and it is wonderful). By mounting the volume on that channel, the sound begins to twist and get the second half of the race of vintage overdrive knob beautiful in the purest spirit Orange 70's, also enjoyable with single coil pickups with the double. By lowering the power 15 Watts or 7.5 Watts, you can enjoy this delicious overdrive exploitable volume.
On the channel and dirty ... Watch out! Headroom is huge, there is little more than a Rectifier I heard this level of gain, although the grain is very different between the two amps. I plugged the TH30 on PPC212C of the same brand, the bass is just hellish and flood the local snooze 'so that my bassist review of its settings to be heard ...
The shape knob is very effective, and I did not regret the fact countless settings Mesa amps. We spend a grain of mediums stuffed with shape 0 (ideal for the solo singing) a grain very "mid scoop" shape with the bottom, and there was good if you scratch that sends large metal task, but have the very right side and very "cold" American amps (although this approach is subjective).
However, I found it much less suitable dirty channel with single coil pickups in my strat, unless it is very measured gain.
I read here and there that the amp could make a noise on the channel unpleasant dirty, I have not had this feeling. I also read that some models were equipped with original lamps China low end, mine is equipped with JJ Electronics of good quality, this may be explaining this.

Là ces 3 sons sont dans la boite: la canal clean délivre un superbe son clair, dynamique et chaleureux (une bonne réverbe dans la boucle et c'est vraiment merveilleux). En montant le volume sur ce canal, le son commence à se tordre, et on obtient sur la deuxième moitié de la course du potard une magnifique overdrive vintage dans le plus pur esprit Orange des 70's, aussi jouissive avec des micros simples qu'avec des doubles. En baissant la puissance en 15 Watts ou en 7,5 Watts, on peut profiter de cette délicieuse overdrive à volume exploitable.
Et concernant le canal dirty... Watch out ! La réserve de gain est colossale, il n'y a guère que sur un Rectifier où j'ai entendu un tel niveau de gain, bien que le grain soit très différent entre les deux amplis. J'ai branché la TH30 sur un PPC212C de la même marque, les basses sont tout simplement dantesques et inondent le local de répét', au point que mon bassiste a du revoir ses réglages pour se faire entendre...
Le potard shape est très efficace, et ne m'a pas du tout fait regretter les réglages innombrables des amplis Mesa. On passe d'un grain bourré de médiums avec le shape à 0 (idéal pour un son solo chantant) à un grain très "scoop mid" avec le shape à fond, et là si on a la bonne gratte on envoie le gros metal qui tâche, sans toutefois avoir le coté très droit et très "froid" des amplis américains (bien que cette approche soit subjective).
J'ai trouvé toutefois ce canal dirty bien moins adapté avec les micros simples de ma strat, sauf si on reste très mesuré avec le gain.
J'ai lu ici et là que l'ampli pouvait émettre un bruit de fond désagréable sur le canal dirty, je n'ai pas du tout eu cette sensation. J'ai aussi lu que certains modèles étaient dotés d'origine de lampes chinoises bas de gamme, le mien est équipé en JJ Electronics de bonne facture, ceci expliquant peut être cela.

Overall Opinion
I use this amp for two months, and I have no regrets. I have owned and / or played on many amps all lamps from different backgrounds (Fender, Vox, Mesa Boogie, Marshall ...), and every time one of the three sounds I need was disappointing or no: sometimes it is clean which is arbitrary, sometimes there is no real distortion ...
I hesitated a lot with the big brother of the range, ie the Thunderverb 50, but I was afraid of the quality of its clean (it works with EL34 that are not strictly lamps we are looking for clean sounds ...), and then I did not need such power.
I had to buy a cover to protect the head and an Orange footswitch and cable. I also put a reverb in the loop to compensate for its absence on the head.
Even with these additional expenses, the price is relatively affordable in terms of price that can be done for some all-tube amp heads ...
I am amazed by the sound that this amp delivers, and I recommend it without moderation of course, this is a amazing head!

J'ai possédé et/ou joué sur de nombreux amplis tout lampes d'horizons variés (Fender, Vox, Mesa Boogie, Marshall...), et à chaque fois l'un des 3 sons dont j'ai besoin était décevant, voire inexistant: tantôt c'est le clean qui est quelconque, tantôt il n'y a pas de vraie disto...
