A plethora of numerical simulations of everything that constitutes a rig guitarist, bassist and singer from stompboxes to get to the speakers with all that can be between! All in a lightweight rack is ugly (not matter ...) is one does not feel very solid.

UTILIZATION

Everything depends on the person, but it's a cinch for any musicians who have had any multi-market effect and even more easily via PC.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this thing a year ago, by dint of seeing all the pros who have one somewhere in their gear and due to time I forgot it in a corner with lots of other machines. I fell on it looking for something else a few weeks ago and I decided to have some fun with.
As I have never in 25 years I sold a ton of stuff at home with which to compare.
For the price of some pedals shops, we are left with an incredible opportunity that camera worth spending time on it. I am aware of no use to 10%, but this thing leave me anyway, I will serve as emergency equipment in case of an attack knowing that I more or less my favorite sounds in at any time just by pressing a button or two. What a pleasure as well to avoid this walk 200 kg of gear or do not have to turn it on and connect several devices just to play a shot p'tit quickly.

UTILIZATION

The long awaited moment is finally here, I'm home with cardboard front and takes a few seconds before unpacking just so much history to believe.

I use it for 3 days now and each time I discover new possibilities, but one thing is certain the dual tone will allow you to make sounds crazy. For homes studioistes this machine will delight you as you end up with three multi-effects in one, for the mad scene also because of its large perspective without having to lug the stuff of tones and one for the purists that this is not a real tube amp because the sound is there is there.

Yes but I'm used to such gear. Even without editing, you immediately get better results than with a Boss.

I rarely read a user's manual but I needed this one to understand the dual tone architecture. The user's manual is a very easy read. I've never had a problem using Line6 products anyways.

SOUND QUALITY

- Are the effects effective, do they suit your application, do they sound real enough?

The sounds are really great and the dual tone technology offers new possibilities compared to the XT Series. Instead of compensating all frequencies with only one sound, you can do it with two sounds resulting in a more vivid and warmer tone. For recording, it's very easy to separate the voices so you get a much better result than with the XT Series.

The sounds are excellent and authentic and the value for money is incredibly good!

- Which sounds do you prefer / hate?

It's impossible to say which sound is my favorite. I usually use a couple of preamps like the Mesa Triple Rectifier simulation or the Engl Powerball simulation, but I play all sorts of styles so I need crunch, clean and distortion sounds as well as bass and vocal tools. The plentiful FX allow infinite sound possibilities so I would say it depends on your taste!

Pros: the Dual Tone function which is a great addition to the XT Series, and the reliability (the XT Series had some bugs).

Cons: I haven't find one until now!

- Did you try any other models before buying it?

I tried virtually every Line6 model and some other brands but I always heard THE DIFFERENCE between Line6 and the others. Thus I'm very faithful to this manufacturer.

- How would you rate its value for money?

Quite amazing and surprising when you consider that the Pod XT Pro can be more expensive than the X3 in some stores. I thought it was a hoax but it isn't. The Pod X3 Pro contains all available Line6 packs (effects, preamps, cabinets, etc.) created for guitar, bass and vocals. Add the Dual Tone function and I think it's the deal of the century!

- Based on your experience, would you buy this product again?

For sure: I sold my Pod XT Pro, all packs and the Toneport (which I used only for vocals). I never expected the X3 to provide such an amazing quality. So yes, I would buy it again even if it were more expensive!
