I've had my MXR M102 Dyna Comp for about three or four years and I've found it to be a great compression pedal. While it certainly doesn't sound as good as some rackable compressors, as far as compression pedals go this is one of the best ones out there. The price is very reasonable and the only other compression pedal I've used that is comparab...
I first used Marshall ED-1 Compressor guitar pedal about two or three years ago and since then it has always done well for me. I like the overall tone it has and the ease of use makes it a good option for players on all experience levels. The price is very reasonable if not downright cheap and certainly gives you some bang for your buck. While I...
I've been using the Line 6 Constrictor for about two years and I have to say that it is one of the better compression foot pedals that I have used. For live gigs this pedal works great and is even useful in the studio. The price of the Line 6 Constrictor is very reasonable and makes it a legitimate option for players on all levels and price rang...
I give it a 10. However, if you want an extreme compression it's not the right pedal for you. Perhaps the trim pot can change that. The CS100 sounds clear but it saturates. The Boss CS3 sounds awful like the Ibanez CP5. The DOD Milkbox creates too much noise and colors the mids. The Fat Burner is too expensive and it do...
I've only had it for six months but I've send it twice to the service center already because of a manufacturing defect... I wasn't used to this with Electro Harmonix... And I waited a long time before getting it back... Ever since it started working properly I can't play without it anymore. It enhances my sound a lot, adding more pr...
I review this small compressor without having tested many others so I'm trying to be objective. First of all, you have to understand how a compressor works (see forums and other information sources) if you want to make the best use of it. I give it a 9 because I haven't tested many others. --- EDIT ---<br...
This Diamond has reconciled me with compressors! Unlike many boutique brands, Diamond offers really original products. I also want to test their Fireburst (fuzz effect). They don't stick to making vulgar copies, so take a look at their website and listen to the sound demos on youtube. Even though I'm really satisfied, I give it 9/10...
a friend of mine gave it to me because he didn't use it anymore due to a major problem: You can listen to the radio with it!!! He lent it to me so I could test it in different locations and with different devices but the problem doesn't go away!!! It's impossible to use this product.
I've been using it for two months and I've found my favorite setting (Gilmour sound). This compressor doesn't color the signal as much as a Dynacomp, which is a clear advantage. I bought it on ebay and considering its price it's a better solution than the CS-3, which you can find for the same price but has much less soul. I don't regret this pur...
I used this pedal for about 4 months. I promptly sold it and purchased one of the finest compression pedals on the market. The Analogman Bi-compressor (check out my review on that). There really isn't anything good about this pedal. The worst thing about this pedal, besides the tone reduction, is when using it live, I would click it on and ...
