All in all, you can't go wrong with the DD-7. You can find them for a decent price on the used marked, as it is actually rather old, but still extremely useful. After all, so many persons around the world use it, so I think it's a pedal that's worth holding on to.
This pedal has blown me away. I've only begun to scratch the surface of what this pedal can do, and i've made funky/weird loops of sound, bizarre cricket noises, long delays that instead of fading out actually get LOUDER with time. I dont know how else to say it, If you are looking for a delay pedal, you just found it. This thing can do anything...
Overall, best basic digital delay. Legendarily known for being so and definitely worth looking into for those who are just getting started with delay. For those who've played with delay pedals for years and years they'll know what to to with this for sure and have probably moved on to other bigger pieces of gear with more knobs etc. But this has...
I think for a budget delay this might be one of the best of all time. If you find one for a good priced used it's worth a pick up just because. They are super reliable and I know people who have had them for years and beat the sin out of them with no issues.
Overall I really like this pedal a lot better than the standard Boss DD-3. It may be my exact pedal, but when comparing the two, the DD-5 sounds warmer and more natural. The DD-5 boasts a lot more modes and becomes much more useful with its delays and tap tempo option. This pedal has been discontinued for some reason, so you’ll have to pick one...
Overall this is a great delay for clean repeats. It spits out exactly what you put into it, and delays it. The delays aren’t warmer or colored at all like an analog delay or echo pedal, and that’s what it’s supposed to do. This pedal is built road tough, and can really take a beating. I gigged it for awhile, but I felt the clean sounding rep...
What I like most about this unit is how quickly and easily I can start looping with it. All my other looping gear requires a lot of units turned on including a computer. With this little guy, I just plug in my guitar in one end, the amp in the other and I'm good to go. What I don't like is the fact that the sound quality does suffer. I also ...
Solid 8s across the board from me. There's not a bad sound in the unit, and it's definitely not going to die on you at a gig (unless you run it with a battery - this thing DEMOLISHES 9 volt batteries). I'd recommend finding a tap-tempo footswitch for more versatility. For the price, under a hundred used, I'm not sure if you can find a better del...
Overall, great all-in-one delay pedal. Loads of variety, and good sounding overall delay. A lot of thought has been put into this to make this a programmable and usable live pedal as well. There are lots of functions and lots to go through, if you want to get the best out of this I'd definitely recommend skimming through the manual.
The flagship of the compact Boss delay line, the DD7 does digital delay very well. In fact, it might be one of the more usable digital delays that I’ve come across. Pick up an external tap tempo switch and you are set. Boss managed to cram an impressive number of features into this one, while maintaining its compact size. I’m not really one for ...
