SOUND QUALITY

The DS-2 is actually a modified DS-1 Boss, long before the time of keeley and other Monte Allums.
Mode 1 is a DS-1, however, the output level and tone circuit have been revised, because the pedal has slightly more volume, the tone is more exploitable than a DS-1 and the beach distortion is a little wider, to note that the DS-2 also responds much better volume knob on the guitar, and this is a highlight for me of this pedal.
Mode 2 is the principal element, it is actually a switch that can boost medium (controllable via footswitch), very dug on the DS-1, and thus to obtain a range of all additional sounds really interesting.
This shows that the DS-2 is actually much more complex than a DS-1, this is what probably explains his lack of success with many guitarists, not knowing very well make a guitar sound and therefore more comfortable with the pedals to the settings and options more basic.

OVERALL OPINION

It gives me a very good pedal, DS-1 is a myth but the DS-2 is a real success if viewed for what it is namely a modified DS-1 via a switch and some components such as today would do some brands of pedals shops or modification of effects.

We must therefore spend time there, the settings may be subtle but it's really a very good distortion pedal that allows all records to play blues-rock (Rory Gallagher eg mode 2 and drive light) very Rock ( Nirvana obviously seen the reserve of distortion and output level).

The Japanese versions are very rare, but the difference between-MIJ and MIT's like the DS-1 very light.

Mine is a Japanese, and I think I can screw it to the pedalboard!

UTILIZATION

Very simple configuration has the potentiometer "standard" for distortion, tone gain level and of course the switch to switch to a turbo turbo 2.

SOUND QUALITY

My favorite distortion, I sold my Big Muff fuzz us my graphic and my sd-1 ..... sounds great with a strat japan!

OVERALL OPINION

I have been around 7 months and am still satisfied! as mentioned above is the one I prefer. But some of the other distortion were more expensive and even if they were good I prefer the one shown is a matter of taste!
pedal strongly advised but I could compare with pa taiwan ....

It's a Boss pedal, so it's super simple:
4 knobs, volume, tone, dist, and the button to change the mode (I or II)

SOUND QUALITY

Then it really is a vamp, an absolutely sublime distortion whatever the method used.
I use it on my Squier Start with a wah wah and before c really great. That may be what you are looking for a long time. Nothing to do with the version made in Taiwan.

OVERALL OPINION

Really great, nothing to say. Its worth the cost, one small problem, it remains very dificil to find. May if you can it's really a case.

UTILIZATION

SOUND QUALITY

it's a true diso! Of metal (Black Sabbath way) has the brit pop (way blur) this pedal you will ever!
I use it mostly with a Start 'black beauty and a line 6 spider 2 (or a feder FM212R) and ba jpeu you say you're never dcus! Ah was not! You must find the sound you want: a big greasy and heavy distortion, a distortion ptite way many bed crunch

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for some months, having sold my ds APRS one Taiwan. Basically it is a ds with a pattern of more (turrrrrrbo) level distortion / overdrive is the top

EDIT: I now use it on an amp fender hot rod deluxe, Pete, and I have a new little lag rx 100, with two humbuckers, its pete too!
Finally I find that it is the top, the sound of the big muff is more typical and I find the SansAmp dchire more. short, by type of distortion is versatile that it is true.

distortion mode offers a soft rock and blues sound of good quality trs trs realistic and respecting the nuances of the game, a kind of crunch.
Turbo mode is a killer! we move from the big crunch to fuzz and saturation Metal muscle, ultra versatile. The sound is crunchy while remaining clear in the treble (or even ultra metal when playing a background in the treble, the sound just becomes almost synthetic!)
I played on a frontman with a 120 watt fender jaguar hh and is THE END OF THE WORLD!
Couple with an overdrive is the sound of Nirvana (without messing with a flanger ....), it's fantastic .... short SOUND.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months already and it is for me the best distortion pedal on the march.j 've tried other pedals like the MXR distortion of (I found a miserable cot) for TREX The Metal boss pedal, the big muff (I find tros fat), etc. ....
LINE6 Distorto only seems a height (not its level of manufacturing quality though)
This pedal is not too expensive (from 100 to 150 euros) and I buy it back immediately if I have a problem with!!
A must have !!!!!

Ah, vinnvous's have a little look, or read ceu who are advocating the pedals, a little lower .... 8 / 10 because it has beautiful buttons, but nothing innovative. It's the boss "classqie". Then the orange is ugly.

Well again, nothing to say. This is the boss, it's true that it is easy to use. amrita still 8 / 10. The sounds they toruevs easily. A condition not to seek prcis.

Must say it plays a frontman, so transistor, and brags. Yes it's cool frontman. But hey it's not nirvana either.
Speaking of nirvana. Arrtez of one to believe that you will become Kurt Cobain with the pedals. You sound as ugly as him. Qi and you tell me that did not sound ugly, just over distorted, I would say yes, but you will not have all that is around the pedals so a will be ugly.

CONFIGURATION simplistic (BOSS ... WHAT) IS ON SOUND EASILY.

SOUND QUALITY

GOOD AS ON THE TWO MODES, MODE IS THE FIRST OF DS1 RAPROCHE BUT with more warmth in the sound. The second mode (TURBO) AND VERY INTERESTING, SINCE HE C DESIGNED FOR SOLO AS TURBO MODE OF EACH NOTE WELL AGREEMENT AND AUDIBLE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FIRST MODE (OVER SATURATION AND NOTES TO PLAY IN CLARET). GOT THE DISTORTION AND THAT OF JOHN AND JOE SATRIANI FEUISCANRE. ME I PLAY THE BLUES AND ROCK THIS PEDAL A suit me PARFAITEMENT.AVEC REVERB DELAY OR C ES TOP. MY GUITAR AND START TO 1991 WITH A U.S. Marshall Valvestate 80 WATTS. J OFTEN USED FOR MY VOX 810 VALVETONE SATRUTE BOOSTER OF SOUND AND DS2 AIS J AL AN INFINITE SUSTAIN, GARY MOORE STYLE.

Only complaint is WHEN TO CHANGE MODE TO TURBO MODE 1 DROP IN VOLUME BUT FOR ME I'M STILL IN TURBO MODE.

OVERALL OPINION

JE L THERE USED AS A YEAR NOW, THE HIGHLIGHT OF THIS PEDAL AND TURBO MODE FOR SOLO HURLANT but warm, I must say that this pedal and very sensitive to picking.
This pedal is no longer sold (MADE IN JAPAN) IF YOU FIND A Feel free to take it, FOR ME I AM A CLOSE WITH THIS CHOICE FOR INTERIM pleasure, and I do not separate myself of this wonder.
