Interesting GFS pickups (they have a very comprehensive range of products, they have launched several Alnico II and V versions + all the rest...I invite you to visit their website ...). Very classy look! The particularity of the humbuckers I cabled? They have a big and modern output, if you drive them relatively well with an LP, although you could also risk it with a 335...
...Or, more exactly, with an Epiphone 339. That would be wiser because they have more wood and that way you make sure you get that "sonic cannibalism."
...Precise clean sounds and up to Crunch and OV... At the end of the travel you can expect a hyper-powerful distortion, although it can get a bit "muddy"... They are splittable for a more intimate performance, with such versatility they will do a great job onstage. But in the studio they'll show their limitations, their output power levels are very hard to work with. At home they might prove just as thorny if you have neighbors.
- Rather nice. A good choice in face of the lack of similar products in this 6-string "niche". And with the elegance to go with them.
- While it would be an exaggeration, or even laughable, to recommend them "emphatically," given all the reasons above, their singularities make them recommendable if you are looking for a massive sound and you bear in mind what I wrote before (for an almost insolent price, you get twice or thrice what you pay for...).

To be honest, at first I was very excited about these pickups, they surely sound better than the original pickups on my Squier Telecaster Custom. However, with hindsight, I must admit that they aren't as good as I thought they were. They surely sound good, and if you don't have too much experience, they do their job, but with time you turn more demanding and they simply aren't enough anymore.
The clean and crunch sounds are good, they are great to play blues! The distortion isn't bad either, powerful and neat, but it lacks mids, for my taste. I feel it lacks something, the sound isn't "whole," and that's what drives me mad about these pickups and why I want to upgrade my Squier with better pickups (Seymour Duncan or similar). But don't get me wrong, they are not crappy, if you set them right, they sound fine, Hi-Gain-like without a doubt, but they sound fine. I think they would be perfect for someone who plays metal!
In terms of value for money, I don't think you can do any better than this brand! Everything is relative, at this price point you shouldn't be expecting any miracles, and I think these pickups do their job well!
In short, I recommend these pickups to people on a tight budget, but if you have the choice, go for something more high-end
