The FT-2 was a fairly short lived Dynamic Filter, and to be honest, I can kinda see why. Boss made some improvements on the newer models that kind make this obsolete. That said, this model was still a good model. If you ever wanted that funky kind of sound without having to move your foot all the time on the wah, this is the kind of pedal for you. It features knobs for sensitivity, dynamics, cutoff and a special mode switch that can select between different styles of effects.

UTILIZATION

Boss pedals are among some of the best, most well built pedals you'll ever find. The FET bypass is pretty good on this, and it's not a horrible tone sucking pedal. There is some tone suckage, but it was never enough for me to consider putting it into a true bypass loop. The pedal is tough as nails and can withstand any kind of abuse. I've seen these things beat to hell and back, and they still perform like a champ. The knobs are laid out nicely, and everything is fairly easy to understand. One thing you might want to do is look at the manual, but I can't say I know what it's like as the pedal I had didn't come with one. That said, the manuals that Boss pedals have are usually really good.

SOUND QUALITY

If you like different variations on your auto wah, this is probably the pedal for you. It offered some different things that other auto wahs didn't, at the time. You had a bit more versatility than with the older Boss wahs. For example, you can set this thing to where it stays on a frequency, and it sounds kinda like that MIchael Schenker tone. You know, that cocked wah kind of sound. Then again, the Tone Zone pickup kinda does that by itself, so you can choose how you want to get that tone. It does the standard funky kind of expression thing, but it's nothing that inspiring that made me want to keep this.

OVERALL OPINION

The pedal is solid, but there are some better options out there, especially considering how hard this pedal can be to find. They only made it for a few years, after all. I find that the newer Boss auto wah pedals tend to sound a bit better and offer more versatility, but if you're looking for the most dynamic and old school style, you'll probably want to get the TW1 instead.

Sound !!!!! whether it be on keyboard, bass guitar (!!!!), micro, moog ... I do not spend more.
Basically, it's a kind of autowah ... but actually it is quite special and unique!
It's actually a bte dynamic filter ... (!) But with a grain inimitable. Little more, you can connect an expression pedals, into a wah ... but c trs diffrent a bte Dunlop ... That same sound that I prfre, rounder, less messy ...

UTILIZATION

What a boss pedals, nothing rvolutionnaire ... A few hours suffice for matriser.
It is quite versatile and wide Whereas the sound spectrum of your instrument ... grain and adds a unique ...

SOUND QUALITY

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH. I use it on my Moog, AC is fabulous ... Hendrixien sound of the Emerson ... A bass is the sound Aeroplane or a heavier line though and it's a wah guitar like no other. Not a pet blast, and some even use it to filter taken votes.

OVERALL OPINION

I have 5 years, and I look for other (2 or 3!) Because I'm sick of spending my time unplug and replug the other hand, o). Unfortunately we find newer for a long time ... substitute it seems the fiddling of autowah boss .. see anything!

It is a filter that consquent wahwah Ragit according to the attack. It is possible to apply the effect on the bass or the treble. You can also connect a manual pedals (not included).

UTILIZATION

Setup is extremely simple really, you play and turn the knobs on the basis of its sought-. There is no difficulty to the extent that each is effective knobs.

SOUND QUALITY

This is wahwah trs discrte but all the same Submitted is the only one I tested wahwah Can I leave permanently connected without the sound get tired. The TRS is wahwah music.

Overdrive or a couple bassball the possibilities are standard.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a while ADI, trs I am satisfied with my purchase. I almost sell it because of financial problem but finally I care. 75 buy in event.

This pedal was manufactured back in 1986 and continued for a couple of years. This is a cool pedal for those who don't want to use a real wah pedal or can't get the feel of the rhythm of a real wah pedal. This is a filter pedal but the filter is a wah shape. One great feature this has is the ability to hook an expression pedal into the input and control it like a real wah pedal.

There are four basic control to this pedal. First you have the the sensitivity control and that is what it does. It controls how sensitive the filter comes in and out. Next you have the cut off frequency. this is an important control because it sets where the effects starts and will have a huge impact on the effects that it will produce. Next you have the Q control and that sets the peak of the filter. Finally, you the up or down switch which determines the if the wah pedal will start in the down position or in the up position.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is where this pedal refrains from getting me anywhere. I like the sound of a Vox wah and that is the tone of a wah that I personally enjoy. This is not the tone of a Vox wah. So therefore to me is sounds kind of silly and cheesy. The tone of this is a disco type tone which I hate. So I can't really get into the actually sound of this unit.

For clean sounds this thing is straight up disco. You can try to dial it out but it will be a challenge. If you add some distortion of overdrive the pedal will sound a little better, but not by much. Overall I really can stand the sound of this pedal. It is extremely irritating to listen to. It is corny and cheesy.

OVERALL OPINION

This pedal has now been long discontinued. I have not idea what the used price for this pedal. I am sure there are plenty of them out on the classifieds and on evilbay to be had a great price if this is what your style is. I would recommend this pedal to a disco or funk player who doesn't want to use a real wah.
