- How long have you use it?
Two years
- What is so special that you like most and least?
I use it mostly on stage as qu'expandeur (Piloting VSTis via MIDI), but also extend the PC for the most demanding projects, or take advantage of its converters for recording
In my opinion, one of its strengths:
-> Good momentum
-> Stable
-> One stereo line input, mono with a trim, one SPDIF and ADAT (8 digital out), and a virtual console (the sound of my keyboard from the top through the line, and my keypad - bottom - gives me access to a "premix" between the sounds of the Receptor - keyboard at the bottom - and the keyboard from the top. All jacks are stereo, so the signal goes through even if it is switched off or restart ...)
-> Special converters
-> Strength (the rack fell after a meter and it has apparently not budge!)
-> Manage MIDI. While there, if it's powerful, it's a bit complicated ...
- -> In order to address any Patch, you must send an MSB, an LSB and Program Change, 128 ^ 3 possibilities is just over 2 million patch anyway, divided between VSTis and Plugs. However, it is your control device (keyboard or otherwise) can manage the shipment ...
- -> You can assign any control change to edit a plug-in, for up to 16 VST effects and 4
- How would you rate the quality / price?
A basic PC is cheaper but the Receptor is reliable and predictable. To turn this kind of argument I am sensitive personal ...

Must see the competition, but the concept of a computer rack, specialized (and therefore to the point), then yes it on stage!

- Quelle est la particularité que vous aimez le plus, le moins?
Je l'utilise principalement sur scène en tant qu'expandeur (Piloter des VSTis via MIDI), mais aussi en extension du PC pour les projets plus gourmands, ou profiter de ses convertisseurs pour l'enregistrement
A mon avis, parmi ses points forts :
-> Bonne dynamique
-> Stable
-> 1 entrée ligne stereo, 1 mono avec trim, une SPDIF et une ADAT (numérique 8 out), et une console virtuelle (le son de mon clavier du haut entre par l'entrée ligne, et mon clavier de commande - en bas - me donne accès à un "prémix" entre les sons du Receptor - clavier du bas - et le clavier du haut. Tous les jacks sont stereo, ainsi le signal passe au travers même s'il est éteint ou en redémarrage ...)
-> Bons convertisseurs
-> Robustesse (le rack est tombé une fois d'un mètre et il n'a apparement pas bronché !)
-> Gestion du MIDI. Quoique là, si c'est puissant, c'est un peu compliqué ...
- -> Pour pouvoir adresser n'importe quel Patch, il faut envoyer un MSB, un LSB et un Program Change, soit 128^3 possibilités soit un peu plus de 2 millions de patch quand même, répartis entre les différents VSTis et Plugs. Il faut cependant que votre appareil de commande (clavier ou autre) puisse gérer cet envoi ...
- -> Vous pouvez affecter n'importe quel Control Change pour éditer un plug-in, jusqu'à 16 pour un VSTi et 4 pour un effet
- Comment jugez vous le rapport qualité/prix?
Un PC de base c'est moins cher mais le Receptor est fiable et sans surprise. Pour tourner ce genre d'argument perso j'y suis sensible ...
- Avec l'expérience, referiez vous ce choix?...
Faut voir la concurrence, mais le concept d'un ordi en rack, spécialisé (donc droit au but), sur scène ça oui alors !
