Overall Opinion
Acquired to replace a newer Marantz (PM50), I felt regret. And it has absolutely not been the case. This amp is amazing, as much by the fact that it is little known by its quality. I also have a NAD3020 enjoying an excellent reputation and, frankly, it is far below. Much faster in very powerful and detailed bass. Spent at Audio Precision, the marantz displays a distortion less than 0.01% over the entire audible spectrum, measured performance and not "manufacturer" of a model 25 years old (after adjusting the bias currents)!

Acquis pour remplacer un autre Marantz plus récent (PM50), je pensais le regretter. Et cela n'a absolument pas été le cas. Cet ampli est bluffant, autant par le fait qu'il soit peu connu que par sa qualité. Je possède par ailleurs un NAD3020 bénéficiant d'une excellente réputation et, franchement, ce dernier est très en dessous. Bien plus efficace dans les graves très puissants et détaillés. Passé au banc Audio Precision, le marantz affiche une distorsion inférieure à 0,01% sur l'ensemble du spectre audible, performance mesurée et non "constructeur" sur un modèle vieux de 25 ans (après réglage des courants de polarisation)!
