I have this guitar for about 6 months. My style is mostly Rock / Blues (Led Zeppelin, Telephone, ACDC, Chuck Berry ....). I "tasted" on the guitar by trying several models in store and I could never forget the sound .... Result, I finally broke down and offer me.
Note that in many cases, items have a LP2000 Dude, guitar is not imported in France! Mine is a 2000 LP Natural (light wood color) absolumment beautiful! The finish and quality of the guitar are perfect. Varnish sublime.
The sound is that of a Les Paul, warm and round, if not fat.
Note, sustain this huuuuge Indie!! A real treat !!!!!
Only downside (since it is one ...), the weight of the beast. Anyway ....
    Bought € 512.

If it again?? Well .... rather than 2 times !!!!! This guitar has everything a very high price for a really "low". But for how long??
    ------- ----- Edit in 08/2009

Well .... I go back a year and a half later to refine my opinion.
I always have my beautiful English! And I'm not ready to part with it.
She has not aged at all. The nickel coating is no pet, no patina ... nothing. Like new. And God knows if it is played this guitar .... and if she saw the sweat ... (A little beer too ...)
I replaced the original pickups from Gibson Indie by 57 and 57 + because I was looking for a more vintage, more homogeneous ....
No regrets on this circuit because given the quality of the guitar, the purchase of 57 is not a heresy.
Married to sustain this huge guitar, the 57 is a real pleasure.

The Indie Les Paul remains a very very very good.
