Purchased to replace an EMU 2x2 Xmidi that "saturated" with my Yamaha P95. (MIDI events lost - missing notes / required to infinity)
I use a Yamaha P95 digital piano, a Roland V-Drums and keyboard EMU XBoard 49. The UM-3G is plugged into a laptop about 4 years old.

No problem with drivers (Vista 32).

Overall Opinion
I use it for a month and I have not encountered any problem with the apps I use regularly. (Mainly in Cubase VST and several standalone version)
I have an EMU Xmidi 2x2 ... I stowed in a closet with useless since the Yamaha P95!
At the functional level, nothing to say about the UM-3G. In addition, you can stack up to 3 UM-3G for 9 E / S.
Only quibble: the USB cable that connects the interface to PC / Mac is fixed and a little short.
Good value for money because it does exactly what I ask: treat MIDI events without missing one.
I do it again this election! and all owners of Yamaha P95 (or P85) should read this ...

Je l'utilise depuis un mois et je n'ai encore rencontré aucun problème avec les softs que j'utilise régulièrement. (principalement Cubase et plusieurs VSTi en version standalone)
J'ai une EMU Xmidi 2x2... que j'ai rangé dans un placard puisque inutilisable avec le Yamaha P95 !
Au niveau fonctionnel, rien à redire sur l'UM-3G. De plus, on peut empiler jusqu'à 3 UM-3G pour obtenir 9 E/S.
Seul petit reproche : le cable USB qui relie l'interface au PC/Mac est fixe et un peu court.
Bon rapport qualité/prix puisque elle fait exactement ce je demande : traiter des évènements MIDI sans en perdre un seul.
Je referai ce choix ! et tout possesseur de Yamaha P95 (ou P85) devrait lire cet avis...
