Winter NAMM 2012 News
It cost only 395 Euros and since I bought it, my E-sries J-strat hasn't left the gig-bag. If you like Fender guitars, you can not afford to miss this one. Mark my words: this first series of Marauders will all be collectors-items within 10 years, much like the JV series of 82. So grab one while you still can. On the other hand, I believe that if...
This guitar is meant for hardcore Cobain fans but it is not super expensive like older models so younger players can still afford it. Since this guitar doesnt have any crazy signature markings it can be enjoyed by people who arent particularly Nirvana fans. If you just like Mustangs in general you could enjoy this guitar for having a heavier sou...
This guitar won me over. I saw it, was revolted, then I picked it up. As weird-looking as it is, it is a great player, it is super versatile, and it sounds amazing. I'd pick this guitar for anything except the most technical of metal styles. Nice job, Fender! Keep making weird guitars!
Obviously this is no shred axe, so the fleet-fingered may want to consider another guitar. But for the bluesy oriented, or classic rock jammers, or even alternative/indie rock - this is a great guitar, and unlike anything else out there. This would have been one of Kurt Cobain's favorite guitars if it was around in the 80s and 90s, but then agai...
Despite all the praise I've given this guitar, the truth is that it's overpriced. But people really want these and the market commands the price. It doesn't have enough bells and whistles to cost a grand. That doesn't mean it's a bad guitar. There's beauty in simplicity.
These guitars were made in Japan up until a few years ago. So now they have been completely fizzled out. If you want one they are all over the used market and especially in Asian countries. I don't recommend this guitar because there are much better instruments out there than this one.
I like the distinct tone that this guitar has, it's really different from the other Fenders I've played. It doesn't fit with some of the older rock sounds that I like as much, but it certainly has character. I would say that getting one before a Strat or a Tele might not be the best move unless you are absolutely sure. I also would never want to...
Overall, I'm definitely an advocate for this guitar. As any guitar player knows, Fender has an incredible line of guitars, and this Mustang Reissue is just another flavor that they have to offer. I don't believe that there are too many Fender Mustang Reissue '69's out there since I believe that they were only made for a short while. I don't k...
I have been playing this guitar for 4 years. I love the appearance, the playability, and the overall, ease of use, I had to turn the pickup switches around because they are easily turned off when strumming if you dont and that was annoying... now the switches are backwards. I love pulling out my unique guitar around other guitar enthusiasts beca...
I've been playing this lefty model for over five months and it's a great instrument for grunge and punk (and other alternative music styles). This guitar is very rare so its price is quite high, but it is worth it. It's a great guitar. Peace
