Value For Money :
Excellent
- How long have you use it?
3 good weeks that I submit to every kind of torture ...
- What is so special that you like most and least?
First is the "Made In" AKAI! Which for me has always been a guarantee of quality ... Manufacturing and finishing remarkable is the beautiful design and is robust.
In addition, the brand experience and has already proven itself in this type of material, which gives more confidence.
Specifically, I like the 16 pads that have a very good sensitivity (this is practically the pads of MPC). 127 velocity levels and meet the entire surface of the pad.
I like the 8 knobs and 360 ° 6 faders that make a good control surface for crushing the various options for the sequencer or any VST.
I like the transport buttons MMC that allows me to control some sequencers, which reduces the "shuttle" between the controller and the PC.
I like the large display (70mm * 38mm) super-blue backlight the most beautiful effect! In urban lit as in complete darkness, it's still very readable and flash it well!
All important information are simultaneously displayed on the screen: name and number of the preset, MIDI channel, CC note, velocity, aftertouch, bank, gauge ... All this together! Super convenient!
on the other hand, which I find unfortunate is that there is no pedal footswitch input and the absence of a power button ... Anyway I will not quibble too ...
- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
I have tested the M-Audio Trigger Finger I found well below ... At any point ...
For the Korg PADKONTROL, I have not tried yet ... But that does not tempt me at all to swap my 8 knobs, 6 faders and LCD pad against a single X / Y (which for me is optional) ...
- How would you rate the quality / price?
A AKAI drumpad of such quality for only 199 €: excellent quality / price!
We pay for and more!
- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
Oh yes! Rather than 2 times!
================================================== ===========
Finally, I consider the AKAI MPD24 as the reference in terms of controller drumpad!
I am totally satisfied with this product and I can only recommend it highly!
The MPD16, PK and TF are now good to be relegated to the dustbin of abyssal depths ...
