- I use this ride for about 2 years. Who already have a XS20 Medium Ride of 2O "I wanted to expand my kit with a second ride, which has more personality and power, and I could crash on continuous passages edgy pieces.
I tried quite a few other wrinkles in Sabian, Zildjian Paiste and even to Bag 'to Marseille and finally to have a big crush on my HH Duo.
This ride is really special. In terms of its production it is good to know that Sabian used a technique of semi-sanding, which means that half of the ride is sanded and finalized while the other is left raw (the dark circles corresponding to the center ). As for build quality, it was completely hammered by hand by local artisans Sabian, so that each ride is unique in this series. The sound differs slightly for each ride in the series!
At these acoustic features, the ride at first struck by his tone serious, due to the sanding part. The sound that emerges is still very warm and very pleasant. The ping is not very strong because of the serious stand a lot, and this gives her a very vintage, very pleasant to listen, and with great personality.
In terms of volume, it is a ride that has a lot of power, and this especially if you use it crash / ride, where it really gives its full potential. Used simply wrinkled, it gives an incredibly fine and pleasant, with lots of sustain.
However, a small flat for the bell despite its size is a bit "dry" and lacking a little personality but it is subjective.
What is also unique with this ride is its ability to create a "web". I use it in a metal for my group, which may seem surprising because it seems rather to be made for jazz, but crashed is a cymbal that has incredible power! I use it to weigh down the passages, to create webs in the ride crashing continuously, or the effects of crash incredibly powerful. This cymbal gives a very special color to my game and my sound as a group, it's a clearly recognizable and a hell of potato. It helps to create unique atmospheres and that's why I recommend it.
In terms of context of use, as I said before in my can do wonders in a metal, especially coupled with a ride brighter and more accurate. Personally it is coupled perfectly with my ride XS20 medium rather brilliant and very present and used on quieter passages or ride should really be ahead.
Outside a metal context, I think for jazz is the perfect cymbal. It is a pleasure to play jazz on it, it has the warm bass sound that works wonders when it is just wrinkled.
Strength and reliability at it's heavy and sturdy as often Sabian;) it gets dirty very easily because of its natural finish and a little bit of maintenance from time to time just to keep it like new! :)
Overall, this is a cymbal with a unique personality very special that can really give a "plus" to your sound! However, I advise you to test this cymbal for you to decide, because it is truly unique, and I think a simple notice is not enough! I do not limit myself to one "in trying to adopt it" even if it was personal, and it remains for me a huge favorite! :)

I use it for 3 years and it is a treat
Very flexible, two distinct sweet spot interesting, not too powerful (used in jazz trio) and easily "crashable" (a nice crash very serious): really a treat!
It's still a very typical cymbal, but recording, it goes very well.
I use it in the second ride (with a medium ride istambul 20), but may work in main ride, in a very soft sound and well though.
I do not know if you can objectively talk about price / quality ratio on objects as personal cymbals, but in 1800 Frs, I'm really happy with my purchase!
If I had to lose one way or another, I would buy one soon, but would it sound the same? This is the problem of hand-made cymbals ...
