In 2007 I bought mine new/old stock (in UK) as my then also new Fender Bassman had to go back under warranty, In the cross-over between having them side by side, the Pig gave more of what I had hoped to get from the Bassman! Consequently I moved on the Bassman and kept the Pig.

Don't turn your nose up at a PIGNOSE! They are basically the Bassman spec that became the Marshall JTM Mk1 as has the Bsssman circuit but with a MASTER VOLUME!

I Can get some great roaring tones from mine and are rated at 40W from 2x6L6 3x12AX7. Output into a 4x12 and is a massive sound.

The amp is ultra portable for a loud tube amp and makes an excellent backup - or even better - part of a stereo setup with a Tweed Deluxe!

SOUNDS

I am not a great guitarist trs (1.70 m) but I wanted something cheap that sends and I'm not. Standard sound in a small bote and even changing the original lamp and it parat bowl that's huge.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for an hour. Some grsillements (but I have lamps and rotten jacks). Sound, but sound ... huge for bte. Same attention when: it is not the mtal is typ plutt blues and rock. Other precision later.

The Pignose G40V is an all-tube amp (there is a three 12AX7 and two 6L6) 40W (they are). There is a input jack on the front and two speaker outputs to plug in a 4 or 8 ohms at the back. There is a volume control preamp, a master volume, 3-band EQ (bass, middle and treble) and a presence control. Note that you can not find a button on / off, despite the fact that it is an all-tube amp, there is no standby button.
I put 9 in the abscence of reverb

UTILIZATION

Configuration very simple, its a very easy to get (due to the low setting), manual non-existent, but useless, so no regrets

SOUNDS

Playing a lot of blues and this amp suits me a wonder, we have many little blues sound, the more fat than crystalline, we arrive without any difficulty having the sound of John Lee Hooker Boom Boom. I played with a Washburn N2, not super responsive and we already have a great sound, and then one day I tried it with a Stratocaster, and it's happy, we take for Clapton ^ ^.
10 for the sound was nothing wrong (but to use the registry blues / rock, with loadings up to and punk, but do not try to play metal with, you will be disappointed)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for six months, I like the ease of adjustment, its sound, its dynamics
The only criticism he can be is the abscence of a second channel, but it's good to have the vintage sound (sound beatles have a fairly easy)
Having bought € 400, I found an unprecedented value for money (try to find an amp of this quality, this power in any lamp, is a price), I would do is choice without hesitation.
