Bought at SWEELEE [singapore] for $480.

This guitar is solid. Easy to use, fitted with hardtail bridge, hassle free when re-string, not like those floyd rose tremolos. Lightweight, but not as light as the SA series. Mahogany body, with weathered finish, looks gorgeous! 3pc maple Wizard II neck, with 24 jumbo frets which makes shredding easier and comfortable. Fitted with IBZ infinity hum pickups INF3 and INF4...suprisingly, the pickups sounded GREAT! Very strong, clear bright sound when distorted, muddy clear sound when clean which is nice for jazz and blues. Although mine is made in korea, the quality is still there! Kudos IBANEZ! Everything seems fine, nothing is perfect though. But one thing i don't like, well not totally, is the neck. Its abit dry and cos of that can easily absorb sweats, which can cause sweat marks on the neck. So to take precautions, have to wipe frequently everytime after use... just to prevent it. But still, the neck has a great feel for shredding..hehe!

Made in Korea \ 3pc Wizard II neck \ Mahogany body with weathered finish \ 24 Jumbo frets \ IBZ hardtail fixed bridge \ IBZ INF3 (H) neck pu & IBZ INF4 (H) bridge pu \ H-H config with 5 way switch

This guitar is definitely worth the buy! Suitable for all players and genre. Get it and you'll love it!

I bought this guitar at Daddy's Junky Music for $249.

This is by far the most comfortable guitar I've ever held in my hands. The neck is amazing, the body is well balanced. I play twice as much now as I did with my old guitar, just because I love picking it up.

The nut was grooved too deeply for the G string, so the open string has fret buzz, but I'm having that taken care of. That is the only defect of any sort on this beautiful instrument.

The royal blue finish is very nice, the neck binding is beautiful, it came set up correctly, and it gives every appearance of being durable.

An amazing value for the money, no other electric at this price can touch it.

I got this guitar at music123.com on closeout for $242.99 I believe.

This guitar has unbelievably good sound. It can be played with anytime of music, from classic rock like led zeppelin and ACDC to punk like the misfits and anti-flag to metalcore like avenged sevenfold and converge. excellent tuners come with the guitar to. very lightweight and easy to take around although i would recommend a hardshell case with this purchase. i like the 24 frets for higher notes.

the only thing i dont like are the strings that come with it, i would recommend getting some ernie balls.

I purchased this guitar from Zzounds for $242.00 (free shipping). I have an RG220B with a Floyd Rose, and wanted a fixed bridge model for alternate tunings.

The neck is great! It's a 24 fret Wizard II, same as my RG220B, and plays fast and effortlessly. I also like the fixed bridge, although it is made somewhat cheap for a guitar of this "caliber".
The action can be set very low with no buzzing, and it stays in tune very well considering I bend the strings and get pretty wild with it. This guitar has some incredible sustain, almost too much!

The guitar looks great. Mine is Royal Blue and looks more like Black than Blue. The hardware is black chromed.

The pickups are nowhere near the caliber of the one on the RG220B. They just don't have the same punch.
The body is much lighter, I guess from cheaper wood.
The black coating on the hardware is starting to wear off, and it's less than a month old.
This guitar "feels" considerably cheaper made than my RG220B, which was made in 2000.
Both guitars were made in Korea.

Construction is good. The guitar looked very good when I first got it, and I found no flaws or bad joints. My only real problem is after only a few weeks it is exhibiting some real signs of wear. My RG220B is almost 4 years older and is still in showroom condition. I baby my guitars, and they get all the TLC in the world.
I guess the quality of Ibanez guitars has taken a nosedive, but then...haven't all major brands?

This guitar plays well, but I don't think it will last very long. After owning 5 different Ibanez guitars, all of excellant quality...I think the company has sold out to the Chinese. I doubt there will be any new Ibanez's in my future...unless they are older models.

Online purchase at www.regent-guitars.co.uk payed £361 becausei had outgrown my first, 'starter' guitar.

I like the excellent playability. The wizard II neck is very thin and it is remarkably easy to rip through scales our to slide down the 24 fret neck. The sound is very clear and distinct, the clean sound is dark and warm and has a real professional quality to it. The distorted sound just oozes power from the bridge humbucker, the sound of the instrument is clear at high volumes even under very thick distortion. I run my guitar through a Marshall MG100DFX with a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone and it sounds very, very metal! The pinch harmonics sound very good, as does tapping, tremlo picking, palm…

The distorted sound just oozes power from the bridge humbucker, the sound of the instrument is clear at high volumes even under very thick distortion. I run my guitar through a Marshall MG100DFX with a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone and it sounds very, very metal! The pinch harmonics sound very good, as does tapping, tremlo picking, palm muting...anything i've tried really. The lo-pro edge tremolo system is great for thrash/death/even power metal solos.

The pickups are a little noisy, any impact on the body creates quite a large sound and sometimes the sound on the higher strings can be drowned out by relatively small background noise.

The lo-pro edge II system obviously means that tuning is slightly more of a task. It doesn't take too long, and string changing is not extremely difficult but obviously it does add to the time somewhat. It holds tuning pretty well, and when it does drop, it tends to remain in tune with itself, so it is still ok for private practice.

Im no expert here, but it is a basswood body. It has a bolt on neck and the fretboard is rosewood. It is of a nice weight, not incredibly heavy, but not cheap feeling.

Generally, i am exceptionally pleased with the guitar, it was everything i had expected and simpler than i had imagined. The sound is what matters and it plays beautifully. Probably more of a guitar for hard rock or metal players, but then it is an RG. For the price, it is outstanding [although i did only pay the price for the cheaper RG270DX, but they are no longer made]

Level weight is a bit heavy by my gots (my Ibanez strap is not top top, a little too hard). The form is perfect, I do not blame, can be the position of the microphones slecteur a little too in the axis of arm movement, which, in a game may result in a good nag unexpected change of mics:-p but nothing serious!
For sound, I can have little prs all I want, it sounds heavy, really heavy, the pickups are a little rough when the gain is the bottom. It's pretty versatile casually, the neck pickup is Splitt which allows the simple use micro (in addition to humbucker bridge) pickups or 2x single or double. Nothing to achieve its stratum, however, it is especially mtal and that's good for me!
Pay 317 euros 7 months ago.

    SOUNDS

So as I said above, it is especially mtal ax, I ridiculed any scratching of the same price in this area, it is really comfortable! :-D
I play with an amp ZOOM Fire-30, with 19 and 22 types of saturation effects Intgr allows me to play almost everything, with 5 configurations diffrent microphone, I can really play many styles. Believe it or not but I get this amp have the same sound that Metallica Kill'em in all, the total up what! :-D
I manage to get close to her also all the other albums of Metallica (except St. Anger), even Load and Reload when I give in R. No problem for Death / Trash, the middle and go out! The clean sound is good, without being sense '(ca quickly saturates well done).
In résumé is heavy (attention is 300 euros a guitar even when fo not push!) And j'adooooooore that!! :-D

    OVERALL OPINION

Premire is my guitar, I've had seven months and I am more than happy!
It's perfect gots my music, I always love when I look at the first day!
This is perfect for beginners, and I mtal RPET, for that price, look no is the best!
The only BMOL for the matte finish that is smooth under my wrist on the table and the "varnish" of mcaniques .... :-(

It may be a bit heavy, but good balance and trs trs comfortable, do not ncessite effort, it remains focused on his game and nothing else.
The sound with the original pickups did not really believe (normal price). This is the only criticism I do ibanez: to have good microphones must dbourser ( at least) 850/900 euros.
I rsolu the problem by installing DiMarzio: an air norton in neck and a tone zone in bridge.
From 317 euros, the price is 555 euros then pass, which is reasonable.

    SOUNDS

It should compltement my style of music (Van Halen, Dokken, Deep Purple is a guitar ...), Designed for big sound, and with the pickups that I put on it n ' issue is not really versatile, even if the clean sounds are honorable trs.
Résumé to: mtal a guitar made for shredders Steve Vai and other budding.
I use this guitar with a Vox AD30VT amp and an MXR equalizer 10 bandes.Cet possde amp does not really sound typical mtal, but allows me to accder sounds great. Ct and distortion, an equalizer is often enough to boost certain frequencies.

    OVERALL OPINION

APRS one month of use, I am satisfied with TRS, especially when Whereas the price of this guitar. In my beginners, prices taient more levs for a comparable instrument, I think that young people are lucky.
I have not tried other guitars, because I possd time an Ibanez RG 550 (which microphones original taient even zero, but the handle a wonderful silent) and I was looking for the same type of scratches, but without vibrato.
The report qualitprix is excellent, and just a ProCD lgre upgrade to get a true pro scratch, almost.

    SOUNDS

I play the guitar hero mordceaux (style petrucci and others) like metallica, and it suits me entirely, type of guitar shred originally for solo so sick I think it's the dream. For now my sound metal does not suit me but I have a crappy amp, but I tested it on other amps and it was really satisfesant (see fabulous lol).
I love going in the treble with these 24 cases.
It offers a pretty good sustain since it is in bridge configuration.
Mics what they say, are very good (but I still would put that because it does not equal 8 in the same price range of other brands but have a violin worse compared to Ibanez) because they splitables are and are still much better than the NSDP and grg170 grg270.

    OVERALL OPINION

    Microphones that I really like.
    Round brilliant.
    Finish on top.
Look pest, I always look with love and respect lol.
Exellent value for money, you have a very good guitar to start the hands and you can keep it very long in my opinion.
I would do this choice ca no hesitation.

    SOUNDS

My musical style wholesale: Stoner / Doom / metal.
oddly the RG is the only guitar I like METAL, we must admit it is rather SUPER NICE.
If you do not know the stoner style is really known for visiting the group KYUSS (Ex-singer of the band Queens of the Stone Age, Joshua Homes), its a super mega hot and runny (Joshua played in Kyuss on bass amp ). And this shows very well that scratching the fat! So I love it.
I play for the moment on a Peavey Bandit 112 amp and multi effects ke I do not like ZOOM GFX-1 (I'll opt for the ZOOM G7.UT (tube preamp and you can register on pc with the log CUBASE included).
Microphones to be honest do not suit me (I play in Drop SI), the microphones do not have enough power pr out the sound as I want. Finally the microphones normal origins are not made for that!

    OVERALL OPINION

I bought it for € 170 OCCAZ not super super super condition.
So I'm more than happy! LOL
She is beautiful and is great fun to play (still enjoyed a nice trick to play seated upright egg nan?)
Acajour body heat and give the handle is part of your arm ...
    Great.
I think that I will not play on Ibanez RG now! it's wonderful.
A change of pickups decked me a good idea (but the microphones origins quans same powerful, too strange on my grave the microphones is more powerful than the acute micro-X)
(Amendment of April 16, 2007, I do not change vai pickups for EMG (I prefer the versatility ... I post as soon as the microphone will change took place))

(Amendment dated 20 January 2007: the jack on the guitar is really crappy ... the threads have "disappeared", a hand that I put the tape to hold ca ke, hopefully)

    SOUNDS

Since my change of pickups, this guitar is perfect for me. I mainly play metal (death of the soft through the speed) but it also happens to play other styles of music. The couple EMG 81/89 is really versatile. In Disto, I balance all of the 81 and 89 on the clean and frankly it's released! The original pickups were relatively versatile as my taste and sufficient for someone who wants to play quietly and alone. But having tried it on a Marshall MG100DFX in concert, they not enough for me. Although it outperforms the second guitar we had, namely a Storm PG200 * laughs *

    OVERALL OPINION

Guitar bought new 318 euros a year ago and 220 euros for micro purchased a week ago. This guitar is perfect for me I'm not going to change anytime soon. This is my first guitar and I'm really not disappointed.

Lamien is 2006 Indonesian weathered black finish, that is to say, as the worn (ebony, yellow, brown, cherry) Gibson home. Very raw, very soft, a treat without t-shirt.
Through-string, but the Fender bridges, damage the right palm ...
Attention to the wiring microphones, is far more sophisticated than anywhere else: we have 1) the double handle alone, en2) but the same microphone with the coils in parallel or at the Start, EN3) both doubles, in the Gibson in 4) the two coils inside the two microphones is funky to the stratum in 5) double bridge alone.

This is extremely intelligent, no parasites, intuitive and USABLE.

Mechanical ok, nothing to do all night.

    UTILIZATION

You learned on a classical guitar Klonk? Then the wizard neck is for you!
If not go your way, experiment with friends. I love it.
Near-perfect ergonomics, reasonable weight, tone knob useless since there is not too much treble / brightness ...
Good sound anyway, but for the group that pass through the mix.

    SOUNDS

I installed these pickups on a SG and I can attest that they are very good in frequency punch and definition.
But on the RG is not terrible, the signal is drowned by the violin. Handle all maple would be perfect, like RG550DX.
I installed the pickups of my late SZ520qm Ibanez, and it's really all there is another guitar now. These microphones SZ were also too bright / clear the SZ (which is built like a les paul mahogany table maple set neck) ...

But good home is not bad on a small amp like marshall or medium screaming Valve Junior (there are those who love, know why but hey ...).
I think the DiMarzio PAF Pro are better for RG 321, in my Apex2 which is very similar construction and is equipped with the paf pro.
Both RG, the apex2 and 321, are made of mahogany, not linden / basswood as usual, which makes exceptions in the range Ibanez, especially since they are not through-tremolo and string.

    OVERALL OPINION

A year and a half, the guitar is ideal for work (there is nothing that hinders or hurts) both sitting and standing. Channel based, which questions the respondent speed licks ...
For fun I set up simple Kinman, well not the violin takes over, not only had not Start the foil but also I lost the warmth and plum. Finally, curiosity koa.

Good resale value, good violin, electronics-free competition, finishing properly good, great price: only throw away is a good plan.
    I learned about a classic Klonk ...

I bought it secondhand in perfectly new condition to a friend of mine. He mounted a DiMarzio X2N pickup on the bridge position before selling it.

It's a pity this guitar has no Floyd Rose because I use it a lot with my Lag guitar... But the body-through strings provide an amazing sustain.

    UTILIZATION

Excellent neck: it's an Ibanez. It's different from my Lag but I got used to it, it's very flat, wider and faster. It's very comfortable but I still prefer the neck of my Lag.

    UTILIZATION

Excellent neck: it's an Ibanez. It's different from my Lag but I got used to it, it's very flat, wider and faster. It's very comfortable but I still prefer the neck of my Lag.

The guitar is a bit lighter than my Lag (both of them are pretty light). Good balance when standing up but it tends to tilt forward with my cloth strap (a good leather strap will probably solve the problem). The Lag is perfectly balanced but perhaps I shouldn't compare them because the Lag is twice as expensive. I like the shape of the body, the neck heel isn't annoying... And I don't play any solos with this guitar so it's irrelevant.

It's pleasant to play it standing up. Well-designed guitar!

    SOUNDS

First of all, don't forget that the original bridge pickup was replaces with a DiMarzio X2N.

I play mainly death metal and brutal death from the 90's (Angelcorpse, Immolation, Incantation, Morbid Angel, etc.), thrash metal (Slayer, Kreator, Sodom, Sepultura) and black/death metal (Impiety, Bestial Warlust)... In short, furious music. This guitar was conceived for this sort of music but I recommend you to change the pickups because they are not powerful enough. It became clear when I tested the neck pickup (although for the music I play the neck pickup is useless). This information is for guitarists who want to play Steve Vai, Satriani or Malmsteen and switch a lot between pickups.

I play this guitar with a Peavey Studiopro 112 at home and a ENGL Powerball for rehearsals. When I play the Peavey, the difference with my Lag with EMG HZ pickups is not obvious in the beginning, but it is more than evident when I play the ENGL. The sound is very aggressive, sharp, heavy, distorted and a bit muddy! People who say X2N pickups don't sound good have probably never used them. With the original pickups this guitar has much less power and punch. That's why I recommend you to replace the original pickups if you want a more powerful instrument. I don't know what the clean sound of this guitar sounds likes because I never play clean.

I only play with a heavy distortion and I tune the guitar in B. Evil. There is no better tuning to play death metal. I think I will also down tune my Lag and change its pickups so that I can use it also for rehearsals. I've found the configuration I need I'm not looking for versatility.

The mark only applies to the guitar with my pickup configuration. With the original pickups I give it a 7.

    OVERALL OPINION

I got it yesterday and I played it the whole afternoon.

I find the X2N pickup sounds very good. High distortion levels. I only need to set my tube amp right and I get a perfect sound without a sweat (I'm an Angelcorpse fan and I'm happy to get a sound close to Exterminate). With my solid-state amp, the sound is also good.

Besides my Lag, I also tested an LTD MH400, an LTD KH602, etc. And I also tried out an Ibanez SA-120, a BC-Rich Bronze Warlock, an Epiphone Les Paul, etc. in the same price range. The 321 sounds better than the BC Rich and certainly more interesting than the SA 120 for my music (but with the X2N pickup...) The sound is better than the Lag. The Lag has a much better manufacturing and finish, a better balance, etc. But that's normal considering it's a much more expensive guitar. However, the Ibanez sounds better than the Lag when I play with my band. That's why I will upgrade the pickups of my Lag.

Considering the price I payed for it (like new), I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. One of the best values for money I found. However, if I were to buy it new I would hesitate between the Lag and the LTD, and I would spend more time testing different models in this price range. As a summary, the value for money of MY guitar is good and I would buy it again, but the value for money of a new RG321 with the original pickups is only ok.

    UTILIZATION

Killer neck: slim, flat, comfortable... It's really fast.

Very comfortable body shape like all RG models... Perfectly ergonomic.

    SOUNDS

I play mainly heavy metal... And this guitar was conceived for this music style!

The manufacturing quality (mahogany and body-through strings) is very good considering the guitar's price. The only limitation are... the pickups. They are not the best for heavy metal... I tune the guitar in drop D and the pickups sound a bit imprecise... The sound is very good with a standard tuning and also in drop D (I play with a second generation Peavey Bandit 112).

Although I only speak about the guitar's heavy metal capabilities it's also good for other music styles! In every other music style... And this versatility is due to the splittable pickups that allow you to switch between very fat metal riffs and blues!

I'm thinking about changing the pickups: I will get some pickups conceived for down tuning... I plan to buy Seymour Duncan SH-6 pickups.

EDIT: I installed an SH-6 on the bridge (when I have enough money I will also install an SH-2). It's almost as if I had a new guitar... Now the guitar really cuts through the mix thanks to its colored mids. The sound is clear and accurate even with extreme gain settings... with lots of overtones.

    10/10

    OVERALL OPINION

I get it now, Ibanez builds high-quality guitars but the electronics can be improved... But it's a killer guitar anyway!

I've owned it for over two years and I would buy it again.

EDIT: The value for money is excellent.
