Good advertising will not be good for either the head or a little to the Thomann store (can do better for the latter but it could be worse).
Or how to lose a day ...
So everything started well with a purchase of a super head Orange Jim Root! Read some great tests, and some cool sounds on youtube, cool!
I start by calling the store at Saint Ouen Musikia to make sure he did well stocked book and, yes awesome!
I go, drive a few miles anyway.
Purchase and return.
Test once returned, catastrophe, its very small, when you go stand by the huge plocs HP (thank you for it ...), even feeble sound thoroughly unpleasant saturation.
I call Saint Ouen and explained the problem, I pass the "you are sure to have connected with a speaker cable?", Etc. Yes, I insist I'm sure everything!
So I wonder if I can return it for an exchange or refund ...
Well ... No! Not in Saint Ouen, there is the filing and sales, no service nothing even recovery of faulty hardware purchased 2h ago not possible, super!
What should you do then? Go to service store in Paris! Not great next door and go over a Saturday afternoon drive in the center of Paris j'vous not tell the galley ... I therefore call on the service of Paris, like some questions and they tell me to bring it ...
So I will glue RER, I give you transportation to the hand of the amp head in the box, a little muscle still qqs kgs 7 or 8 with a square package!
I arrived on the scene and go to the service. The guy actually there's a pb tests, he said he will make a comeback! What? An amp that just bought does not work, and I have to wait more than a return service etc etc
I finally insisted he tries all the lights one by one from the amp to see if there is a defective, for he wants to change one but all it will not pass if this is the store that pays while it is the distributor who should pay. Great and the customer in all that it can poireauter?
So he tries to do anything that is not a pb lamps but a problem with the amp it will not. And that's not all! There it but one more slots to accommodate a lamp is poorly done on the amp (Chinese quality control missed Yes yes it is made in China despite the price!!). So I said the wrong slot is making it the force at different times to try to get the lamp, he twisted twice small metal tabs of the lamp to finally take another and press very hard before it returns.
So two bad points for the amp + an unknown problem a manufacturing defect slots to accommodate the lamp + something else???
Ah this stage I am more worried than anything else, the amp seems to suffer from many flaws and I do not want a repair: telling me that I should not have plenty of other pbs ...
I request a full refund. It's ok no problem for the store (phew anyway!).
Upon repayment last surprise, not blue card repayment it can not be like that, only cash! Great with me lugging such a sum in cash not great, plus I have the right to a 500 euro (it had better be a good one, I had never seen ...) I do not know where I'm stuck with a 500 euro note? FOr buy a wand can be ...
So here is short, I was a little hesitant to purchase despite knowing that it was the price of the made in China, attention possible surprises ...
And just for fun, and end the day, I could not get in RER there was a power failure, traffic stopped, I can call a "friend" ...
