I use it for 1 year now.
After having tried full of VSTs unconvincing, it REALLY convinced me.
The sounds are different and worked well, there are sounds of its predecessor, Atmosphere ...
And BEST of the best, it is possible to create your own sounds.

I remake that choice without hesitation.

Configuration without problem. It takes about 2/3 hours ingester 6 DVD and make updates. This is the "time to pay" for a high quality sound banks ...

I had a little trouble because I could not do updates. Technical support helped me quickly and efficiently.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

HP pavilion, intel core i3, 4 GB RAM, 2.13 GHZ, W7 (64bit).
Sound card v-studio 100 with Sonar VS as host (32bit).
The app is super stable, I do not have a high performance PC but I have no problem with my config because I do not like to accumulate full VST instance simultaneously.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week. I tried a lot of vst in this type of product and Omnisphere is simply the best because it is the most ... MUSIC! Indeed, the sounds are played, superb, varied ... in short, everything has already been said in different opinions.
The software is also very user friendly and well thought out to make yourself your own sounds.
The +: the quality and variety of sounds (from vintage to modern), the arpeggiator and the possibilities of synthesis. The quality / price ratio hallucinating.
The -: The not so great pianos ...

I will never part I of this app because, as I finally found a tool that emulates perfectly slicks Roland and Oberheim ...

Installation is tedious and time consuming on my brand new iMac i5 nice but the game your candlelight

OVERALL OPINION

I bought Omnisphere there are more than one year and Stylus RMX and more recently Trillian
The combination of these three apps cover all my needs for electro. I now use it almost exclusively these three apps, the MPC does the rest

I tried dozens of soft before and after Spectrasonics including soft Native Instruments (FM8, Pro One, Absynth, Kontakt, Reaktor) softwares Arturia (Minimoog, Moog Modular, Jupiter 8 and even the last SEM of Oberheim) and many others. I come after me irresistibly Spectrasonics

I bought 3 apps Spectrasonics (for other apps pre quoted, say ....... euhhhh ..... I have finally you understand ....... like everyone else. ......), the investment is therefore but one - honestly I have no regrets and I do it again this choice, 2-I contribute modestly (and honestly) the development of a society that really does a good job. There weren't any kind of compatibility issues , the program worked really pro on any platform like Windows XP, Windows Seven or a MAC OS.

The book included with the program was quite clear and you easily manage the understanding of the program.

General configuration and setup is fast and it doesn't require a lot of time and effort.
The typical functions are accessible and easy to follow due to the well designed feature.

The software works extremely stable , fast and without any types of errors.
Regarding the functions and the performances , I haven't encountered any type of problems , misunderstandings or errors while using it.
I've been using Omnisphere for some time , it's been a couple of years my first connection with this product and its features.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about are the build-in arppegiatos , the good combination of sound quality and cpu usage , I enjoy the full spectrum of sounds that are included with certain libraries , the magical combination between the classical world , old style kind of strings and the saw synths available.

The most useful tool about this product is the incorporation that comes with it , a great usage either on electronic tracks or even in some emotional soundtracks that you can create with this amazing product.

My opinion about the value of price reaches a good point of understanding which describes perfectly the price range with the features provided with it.
This product costs around 500 $ but its worth the money without a doubt.

Precision and quality of sounds is very powerful , I rate it 9/10 only because there are some more advanced orchestral libraries , but being honest this product is the real deal.

Knowing what I know , I do think that this is a very smart move , choice to buy , mainly because its wide use in terms of musical style and contour.

Tedious installation with the iLok system.
But hey, it does have its rewards.
On the other hand, it comes without a printed user guide, which is the standard now.

I use it with a 2008 MacBook Pro, core duo, 4 GB ram, and the sounds are saved on a 500GB LACIE HDD.
No issues with delays when loading sounds, nor with the load on the CPU.

OVERALL OPINION

In use for three years now.
I haven't gotten tired of it, and I probably only know about 10% of its possibilities.
OK, I exaggerate, only about 4.23%.
The price... It's a bit too expensive, but all updates are free — for now.
What I like most is the sound quality, richness and diversity, and the infinite possibilities to create them!!!
And there's nothing I don't like!
Except for it not coming with a manual!

I struggled a bit in the installation and I just bought Trillian ... is the same. The reason is that I wanted to install the data on a drive other than my system drive and it is not entirely clear. So the update is not very easy to download and install in this configuration. Once everything is installed, no worries

I have a good PC (dual core, 8GB of Ram) and suddenly, I have no problem.

OVERALL OPINION

About a year. Omnisphere buried just about every other room less the synth sounds big. It really is essential but its use does very well. The setting is quite handy and never uses any notice. It is an almost indispensable tool when making the sound of the show, what I do ... I do not much used on the other hand to make "music" but I think we can do it without problem.

I didn't install it, so I can't say anything in that respect.

No problems. With modern PCs (mine is about one year old) the load on the CPU isn't much. I sometimes work with 5 or 6 sounds simultaneously in omnisphère and CPU usage rises to only 1/3. It certainly depends on the sounds used, but still, It's not too resource-intensive.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for about three years.
I have what you can see in my profile. For me, Omnisphère is the best when it comes to sounds. I've worked a lot with sylenth as well, but Omnisphère has a huge sound library and it can do much more.
It has some purely synthetic sounds and some other based on samples, but they all share an amazing quality.
Initially, I bought it for the atmospheric sounds, but it can do almost anything.
I've been buying synths for 30 years and the price of this one is a joke. Plus, considering the current VSTi market, its price seems very competitive. I bought it for a little over €300 if I recall correctly.

Easy installation although a little long .. but even when good considering the amount of sound banks to install it is quite normal, there is nothing nothing!

the app runs well, but hey do not stack instances has force if the cpu gets on his knees! Each instance of Omnisphere allows 8 "sounds" that can be "read" by 8 different MIDI tracks if necessary. With my CPU according to the DAW (Reaper being the best of the point of view) I get a reading between 30 and 40 MIDI tracks routed to four or five instances of Omnisphere ... I never needed as in my projects (and the worst I can do a bounce) so if you have a machine correctly, no problem. Some banks may also be beefy enough so the RAM is not to overlook either especially if you use multiple sounds at once (and other VST / VSTi)
On my machine everything is very stable and in 4 years I have never had any problem or crash from Omnisphere (, Trilian and Stylus RMX).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few years already and before I Omnisphere tests (continuous test) countless synth / piano / generator soundscapes etc. .. I still use some as Massive, Nexus, Rob Papen etc. .. I find good ... but in all honesty, none at Omnisphere.
The report price is good quality at very good I would say (very good for me). Must see if you need all of "his" and in fact the importance that is given to the quality of those below. One thing is sure with Omnisphere if you know how to use (like always!) Can (almost) do everything and I have to admit that I used quite a few other synth that i (only when I want a well accurate and i lazy to recreate in Omnisphere!), especially if you also have Trilian, the sound banks are available in Omnisphere Trilian. Obviously Spectrasonic products combine very well with each other (=> Stylus RMX and Trilian)

The app even him is really very well designed and organized. It is a gas plant but really thinks and allows ranking very convenient (and customizable) to find banks or sort them according to certain criteria. This being said, even when it is necessary to spend time exploring all the possibilities offered (and believe me there and I discovers yet!) Under penalty of missing out on a lot of stuff (and incidentally not return on investment!) ... so you have to predict the time to learn even if Omnisphere sounds bases that have already very good quality can often be sufficient to our happiness! And Commes sounds are really good and almost infinite possibility, spend time on ca omnispheres is nothing unpleasant to do!

In short, if you want something that really sounds and makes almost everything very well ... look no further this is the one you need, you buy nothing else after (or almost nothing! Lol )

I pack Native Complete 7 but I think Omnisphere sounds are still a step above. There are more worked, more "Pro"

+ Ease of use and sound research.
- I do have some sounds that make buger bounce sometimes I do not know why.

More than acceptable in view of the magnitude of the sound database and systhème editing.

With experience, you do again this choice?
I Regrete not have bought earlier. And I intend to buy other packs that offers Spectrasonics.

If you want a sound base to do everything electro, pop, music, etc ... this is what you need. I also use it to create music for video games because the samples are of very high quality.

Pb no huge install, but retrieve the latest version of the Spectrasonics website.

With my config, no worries really. It is stable, but I've never been to Taque opportunities although I tried multis 8 sounds without encountering bp. Careful, though, because even qd Omnisphere is resource intensive.

OVERALL OPINION

2 years since I use is really top, then I have not been in the womb, the possibilities are enormous. However, I tested well aligned with Stylus RMX that fits in grooves making it a perfect complement.
The value for money is excellent, I remake this choice 100 times.

The great power synth Omnisphere from Spectrasonics combines the beauty of acoustic sounds with a more digital one.
It has a lot of deep and great built-in sounds.The typical functions are relatively easy to use for those that want to take a built-in sound and use it in their own mix.

What's really amazing about this power synth is it's high quality sounds and stability.
I have been using this synth for a while and i haven't encountered any errors during it's use. It works on a professional level.
This synth really helped me during the years to find the rich sounds that I've used in some classical music.


OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about it are the great features like timbre shifting, dual mode filter structure , harmonia and the amazing build-in patches that make our life much easier as music producers. I also enjoy the fact that if you're more into building your own sounds and you're a great sound engineer you can create your own sounds.
The library provided by Omnishpeere is one of the most professional , high quality that i ever had the pleasure to work with.
The price is great for such a great synth , it costs around 500$ , but belive me , it's really worth the money.
With this professional type synth you will create something great for the music world.
I've tried several other models before getting omnishpere, and guess what, I stuck with it, I'm using it almost every day and I can't really describe the impact it has on my work.

Omnishpere is compatible as well with mac osx and xp/7.

You should try it for it's great effects, racks, chaos envelopes , patches, all the great layering and for the sounds that it provides. Without a doubt I would buy this program over and over again if I would have to , right now there isn't a more developed type of synth on the market.
