Best value: Excellent
What characteristics have motivated your choice?

Already the brand for its reliability and quality components.
Because then I recovered 2 new good price. Normally the costs to the € 300/350.
For what purpose?

Used in a 2x18 "manifold and a bass reflex common volume. Now they have found their place in the H17.

What amp / What configuration?
Amplified by a two H17 P2000 (an excellent amp by the way).

SOUNDS

The frequency curve is sufficiently neutral?
Depends mainly on its banks, but the sound is good Precision Devices.

The sound is clear and precise across the spectrum?
The sound is very good, but not across the spectrum. Only in severe recess for a 18 "...

Mounted in a double-BR 18 ", the sound is very decent, good physical sensation.'s Hp are very light, it's nice. With a well designed box there is a possibility to leave the 30hz without difficulty and at high level. C ' is a speaker that growls loud but that does not slam.

OVERALL OPINION

For how long have you been using it?
For 1 year, enfaite too little for use with paravant see his potential.
I think the only one to use loud speakers Precision Devices ...

What thing do you like most/least about it?
Okay so most:

weight
maintenance facility
the terminal (no need to solder)
the quality and detail reproduction
reliability
the price (~ 200 € in England)

Cons:

Power limited to 600W, I like to have a sufficient power margin.

Did you try many other models before getting this one?
Yes, Beyma, RCF, B & C, PD, PHL ...

What is your opinion about the value for the price?
I found it cheaper than in Germany, 190 € on an English site. It takes at least 350 € for a higher quality hp (Beyma 18P1200Nd). What makes PDN.18SB40 the best value for money of all the speakers 18 "neodymium.
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?
Yes, probably.
