So voila, I use this speaker for more than 6 months and I have only one remark: FA-BU-lous!!
By opening the carton, and admiring the animal for the first time, I immediately realized the quality and seriousness of VHT (it smells good on handmade). So this is a 1x12 VHT Fat Bottom. Mine is dark green (the class), it is solid birch in Finland (my back was bad ...) and closed. The Eminence speaker is signed, a model specially designed for VHT as has already been said.
Its level, well, it's just excellent! I use the following equipment: Gibson SG (murdered?) With DiMarzio Tone Zone and the Air Norton, Rocktron Piranha, JFX1 Marshall, Marshall, 8008 (shame, I know). I play mostly hard rock / metal and I have no complaints. A very good bass response and low mids assure me a big sound and a sound reproduction that is fading the other musicians in my group.
I tried the competition side of all speakers so that I compared to VHT: Marshall 4x12 (Celestion Greenback), CAE 2x12 (Celestion Greenback), ENGL 1x12 (Celestion V30), ENGL 2x12 (Celestion V30) is not quibble, for what I do, VHT is (very) far ahead.
Note that the combinations ENGL / VHT and CAE / VHT are excellent!
Can be can be blamed a lack of presence in clean, but hey, it's "a" 1x12 ... In any case, the sound is very straight and very accurate even with a rate-distortion unreasonable ... (lover of his lumberjack, hello). He still keeps a little runny side which gives it a certain character (the sound seems VHT).
Price level is quite attractive: € 450 in our national Gillou. Do not hesitate, go for it, because for the price of some shit, it's been!
Note that I definitely do it again this election, I expect soon enjoyed in stereo ...
