I have the Fat Bottom 4x12 and 1x12 Fat Bottom ... As a collector, it was natural that I pay the youngest of the series, the 2x12 ... Nah joking aside, I just bought a Marshall JCM 800 and I wanted to go with a baffle. 1x12 The concert would have sounded too sharp, and with not enough boot. So I opted for a 2x12, which has the advantage of being more portable than a 4x12 with a slightly less good (and yes, sometimes you have to know to make concessions).
... And I must also confess that I am baffle a big fan of that VHT keep accurate sound.
Baffle Series Fat Bottom, 100W into 8 Ohms. 2HP Eminence PE-50, special model made especially for VHT.
I plug the 2x12 with my JCM 800 in concert, and with my Pitbull by repeated (plugged into my 4x12 concert on the other hand). The sound is ... Excellent course! Not surprisingly for someone like me used to the VHT cabinets, the cabinet has the trunk full of bass frequencies to spare, the high frequencies also ...
This cabinet is a killer, a portable format ... What more?
It sounds almost as powerful as the big brother 4x12 and more then frankly ... As against the 4x12 is still a little difference: it has a powerful sound and a "safe" that is not found on the 2x12. But if you turn a lot and that scares you 4x12 (weight, size ...) or you do not have room to transport, take the 2x12, you will not regret it. It Rockkksss!
The price is really ok, a bit more expensive than the competition's true but I tried the VHT speakers and my sound has never been the same, but not too precise, just enough yet I do not but I love metal. The definition of sound is the best, question cabinet is loud and clear, I will never see anywhere else! Of course I would do this choice.
