In terms of construction / finish, it really inspires confidence. The construction is very solid, it is perfectly placed Tolex, Grill cloth is tight ... In short, it is at the top at this level. In addition, it matches perfectly with my head Classic Plex, which gives a neat little stack!
For dimensions and specifications, it is rather impressive without being heavy. Impressive in the sense that it is high enough but not overly deep, so it is a bit smaller than Bogner Oversized. I chose a closed cab because I prefer the bass well. For the impedances, it can be plugged into 8 ohms Mono (my use) or 16 Ohms stereo.
In terms of sound, I have exactly the sound I was looking for. A real crunch Machine !! The sound is pretty typical vintage thanks to the excellent Celestion G12M65 of Creambacks series derived from Greenback Celestion dixit but better. Having never used the Greenbacks, I can not confirm. But the sound is very balanced, the bass is deep, detailed midrange and treble present but very soft. A feast for the blues sounds / rock / hard old. For clean sounds, I also found the sound excellent, very velvety and very hot ... It's hard to put words on sounds ...
This 2x12 FXamps is a great success! For a reasonable price, I have a wonderful cab and HP that kill. It gives me a real cruncher machine in the spirit of the vintage! For modern sounds or "extreme" styles, I think it is possible but the choice of HP will be different.
