«  It's beefy! »

The SCLAT 8 is 19 "rack mount.

Mine is equipped mainly modular type slices 822a to balanced XLR mic and line switchable RCA.

8 channels + 1 return to the stereo.
2 departures from the post-fader on each slice.
My master module has a master XLR balanced or (and RCA) and a second master on RCA.

The principle of modularity is simply awesome.
Master the right, left or center-based die see ... You choose!
The pannel connectors can be positioned either on the rear or from below if the table is found in rackée studio furniture.

It is difficult to find fault with him on this point of view.

UTILIZATION

Theoretically, this table is configurable thanks to the riders position on maps slices but not the manual, difficult to hear or see the changes without knowing what result must be found.

If a seller offers you the instructions, take this without hesitation!

Ecler could not provide me.

Side "his" and technical knobs ALPS almost indestructible.
It's super flexible and linear but you can also choose to replace them with why-not logarithmic.
Anyway, in case of replacement, nothing more quickly with removable brackets.
The table can even remain in office or almost.

The pieces are very standardized so findable everywhere at any electronics retailer.

SOUNDS

The pre-amp is powerful. Very good output level symmetrical.
Relatively low background noise thanks to the power supply which, however remote, can cause some trouble locating a narrow board. Will the plan for when buying for fear of being trapped in the installation but it may very well be put out for the worst.

The EQUASIS are sharp (almost too much for my taste). An adjustment period may be needed depending on what you usually mix.

In any case, nothing more basic to use as table type.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it only for 1 year

Of course, I would have something to blame because of his "hit" but it would not affect the quality of the product itself. It is more used to my old table on which I mixed for 10 years leaves more or less good habits or bad.

Body side ... it's cut in the ground.
Will get up early before folding over something.
Even a scratch is difficult.

In short, it's sturdy built to last on ALL plans!

I will not put a note that fail maximum objectivity and because nothing is perfect but it is not far.

If it all over again: YES on the reliability plan.
