The contest is open to any songwriter, composer, producer and DJ worldwide, but they must be 18 years-old or more to participate.
8Dio invites you to send an original composition of 5 minutes of maximum length in which you will highlight one or more 8Dio virtual instruments. Post the track to SoundCloud, with the name “8Dio 2014 Stand Out Contest Submission: Song Title by Your Name” and specify in the “Description” the name(s) of the 8Dio product(s) used in it. Then send the link to pr@8dio.com with the object: “8Dio 2014 Stand Out Contest Submission: Song Title by Your Name” and add to the message your favorite activity (except music of course).
All submissions must be completed before October 12th and 8Dio adds that they will post some of the compositions on the social networks (namely Facebook and their SoundCloud) during the contest.
The jury this year features David Newman, Blake Neely, Jeremy Soule, Jeff Rona, Paul Haslinger and Jeff Pfeifer.
8Dio will reward three winners, the first prize is a Dave Smith Pro 2 synthesizer, the second prize is a V8P membership with the 8W Black Edition and Emperium and the third winner will receive the Bundle 1 with all the 8Dio sample libraries.
Contest rules are available at 8dio.com.
Good luck to all the participants!
