T-Rex Engineering Fuel Tank Classic

I bought the Fuel Tank Classic to power my Line6 wireless. The wireless needs 500mA, otherwise you will have issues. I was using a Boss adaptor that was rated at 500mA but it wasn't working out so I contacted T-Rex about the Fuel Tank. They told me the 9v outputs actually can handle more than 500mA so I should have no problem. And they were right, I got it, installed it in the rack and it has performed flawlessly ever since and the wireless works perfect. Excellent customer service from T-rex, even before I bought the unit!!

I'm only using one output but the Fuel Tank can do a lot more, it's also nice to have the additional 12v AC or DC output. The 9v outputs are NOT isolated so you could have some issues with it but it depends on your needs. The Fuel Tank comes with a number of cables to hook up your pedals and you can always order more or special cables! They even include a daisy chain cable so you can hook up 5 pedals to 1 of the outputs, good thinking on their part!

When using it on your board, make sure to test it out with your pedals because some of them need to be on isolated outputs. If you don’t have this problem, the T-Rex Fuel Tank Classic is a very good unit for the price. Another thing to keep in mind is the max rating of 500mA. A typical pedal only uses 20-40mA so you shouldn’t have a problem there but make sure to check this before you overload the Fuel Tank! The build quality is excellent for sure, I have mine in a rack so it’s not seeing the abuse of a pedalboard but it’s a pretty sturdy, metal, box so I don’t expect any issues.

The T-Rex Engineering Fuel Tank Classic is a handy little device used for powering up your guitar pedals.  It has a really easy to follow make up and is even easier to set up and to use.  It is built like a brick and will definitely last a while as long as you don’t do anything crazy to it.  While they designed this for use with T-Rex pedals of course, it will power up any pedals that require a nine volt power supply and will power up to eight of them at a time.  It will also power a few other pedals that require 12 volt power, which is a really cool feature that isn’t seen on other products like this one.  It simply has a jack for a standard power chord and eight outputs to send power to your pedals and that’s really all that there is to setting this up.  While this will work with all sorts of pedals that need nine volt power, I would really only recommend it to those who use T-Rex pedals because it will of course work best with them and seems silly to use it to only power other brands of pedals because there are other cheaper options out there for lets say powering Boss pedals.  Even though I wouldn’t buy it just to use it with other types of pedals, it will definitely work fine if you decided to do so, I just like to make sure there would be no compatibility issues before I make a purchase like this, which isn’t to say that I think that there would be problems because it should work fine.  The only downfall of this unit, as is the case with the T-Rex pedal line is that it is a bit pricey.  However, this is a very well designed power supply and works great for powering up your guitar rig.

No opinion on this diet but for those who do not want to crack their savings plan in a power read on.
After complete information on the Big John Ciok, Power over Voodoo Vibe, the full tank T-Rex, DC brick and other Dunlop Power Brick Artec, I bought a Harley Benton powerplant (Thomann mark).
I just got it and judge for yourself:
-8 9v outputs
-2 Outputs 12V DC 1AC + 1
-A Light switch
-A Blue LED indicator to say that it works
-A Removable plug type PC industry with earth
-And ... All connection cables !!!!
All for 39 euros Thomann !!!

I plugged in and everything is nickel, no background noise, blast or otherwise.
Well, as we said in ERAM, it would be crazy to spend more !!!
39 euros is hardly more than a UNIQUE Power Ibanez or Dunlop !!!
For life, is to wait, I can not say anything for now but frankly j'vois when the price of Voodoo, I tell myself that some do not care their pockets!
