Used for 6 months on a "Kamel Ngoni" of West Africa (Type Kora), put directly on the bridge with the famous pastry, which still leaves traces of fat on the wood.
I once had a piezo basic than I had made myself, but nothing to do with rendering the Basik.
Pros: The faithful reproduction of the sound of the instrument (including defects), ease of use and value for money indisputable.
Cons: The dough not quite respectful of the surface on which it is applied, the lack of a small volume on the adapter that came with the cell.
I also have a sensor C-Dyn from the same brand over another Ngoni, I tried both with a Zoom digital recorder, I do not see much difference when the C-Dyn is 2 times more expensive ...
In short if I acquire another instrument of this kind I bought a sensor like this live ...
