UTILIZATION
With regard to the approval of the game, all this depends on the habits of the user.
Indeed, some use this type of guitar does play almost with a "bottleneck". Others go to the play like an acoustic guitar.
In short, an instrument of this type should definitely be set after the purchase to meet the musician who bought it.
And yes, the factory setting is enough "vessel":
- Nut up "standard" with a radius below the radius of the handle
- Set to run straight
- Straight bridge (type cookie standard), high enough and without correction of intonation
SO:
- You want to play king of the blues "bottleneck". You must change the Nut handle a nut "STRAIGHT" so that all the strings are bein in contact with the "bottleneck", and this, along the length of the handle.
- You want to get the picking and the accuracy in the high (especially on strings). You change the bridge saddle with a compensated nut at the serious and slightly lowered compared to the standard nut straight.
- ETC ...
CONCLUSION:
A resonator, a Dobro, etc. ... Is never delivered TURNKEY.
For my part, I changed the 2 frets (head and bridge).
The Nut handle a nut straight but not too high and is slightly at odds on the treble so that acute MI is not found at 2 cm from the handle.
The bridge saddle with a compensated saddle (gr-MI SOL LA and decreased slightly towards the tailpiece) to get the accuracy on the lower strings, but radius (flat radius) in order to play "slide" without too many problems and slightly lowered compared to the standard nut.
So I can play fretted, concervant good playability and staying "just", and I can play the "bottleneck" but without pressing too hard.
SOUNDS
Very good acoustic sound and relatively powerful BLUES guitar having a body thin enough.
When it plugs into a good tube amp, it was THE SOUND "filthy" smelling swamps infested with alligators.
I even preview that by cutting the treble (tone knob) and using one's clear on the amp, it was a very beautiful sound JAZZ (SURPRISING, NOT !!!).
OVERALL OPINION
Very good little guitar, LOOK none and with very interesting sounds.
Excellent finish.
EXCELLENT VALUE / PRICE.
And if one day you want to improve the sound of the cone, just buy a cone NATIONAL 9.5 inches (24.13 cm in diameter).
