«  Excellent value for money »

Value For Money : Excellent
Classical guitar electro-acoustic (G series) cutaway, made in china. Spruce top, mahogany body and sides, rosewood fingerboard, neck width at nut 50mm, shiny patent finish (note that there was a "black" version with the same features, except for the color).
Electronics, good quality, is a TP-4T preamp, it has four settings: volume, bass, middle, treble, tuner (rather convenient and reliable) and a battery level indicator (works with a conventional battery 9v which takes a long time if you remember to unplug the jack after use).
This is a "19 frets" playable without concern until the 13th or 14th box with cutaway. I may be lucky, but for a "made in china", the finishes are good (well, the paint is a little "orange", but tough) and wood (as opposed to a notice of this page), although small are correct for that price. In 5 years, nothing has changed.

UTILIZATION

Knowing the brand takamine long, but models more "prestigious" (I still have a jumbo EN20 1991), and manufactured in Japan, I did not expect a "miracle" by purchasing this small model made in China. Actually, I just wanted a playable and easy to take (holiday weekend) everywhere without stress guitar. Well, I was amazed! This guitar is very nice. The handle is very easy, rather late for a classic, with a very correct action. Ergonomics is very good, over the cutaway allows you to play up to the 14th box. The weight is surprising at first glance, it seems rather heavy (my main question is Cuenca a more imposing and downright lighter gauge), but you get used to very quickly. Quickly obtained a good sound acoustics as amplified.

SOUNDS

This is my "guitar work" somehow, in the sense that I always have on hand and can cover a wide range of style (classic, Bossa, varieties, or even more ... well, metal does not count anyway! These are nylon strings so ...). I amplified with a jazz chorus Roland or a Vox Pathfinder 15r (depending on the volume required). Then I also use it for live recording (TP4-4T is good in this exercise). In acoustics, the sound is good, balanced, rather "soft". It is amazing for the price, but of course it lacks projection (disadvantage cutaway I think). Yes it is not the great sound of a guitar luthier or other Ramirez, but at the risk of repeating myself, this is actually a pleasant surprise for this price!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 years. I bought it for specific reasons not try many other models, having already what I needed "next". I was very pleasantly surprised by this guitar and if I decided today to issue a favorable opinion is that she deserves it. As said in the title, this is an excellent quality / price ratio and if production is homogeneous (I may have fallen on a good run) and you are looking for a classic electro, rather robust, easy to live and little expensive, it is probably one of the best choices.
