Acoustic simulation preamp (low of 6 sounds great Guitars: Gibson, guild, martin ...). very complete connectivity because you can go out XLR or jack and also use in mono or stereo. good practice to balance the output signal to a mixer for example.
ad-8 boss also has a intergre reverb.

USE

The grip is so super simple. who does not love me immerse myself 3 days in the instructions for use: l you plug your guitar on it (I use it with a petrucci with piezo or a taylor 414 EC) are you trying dej 6 preset sounds (pots 6 positions), also the reverb and sounds quickly.

SOUND QUALITY

I think the first post is a little hard because the sound is much better anyway with the AD8 boss without him. I often people come to me to ask me how to get that sound with my electro petrucci because they are surprised at the results. it's on then it is better to go through a good meal and good speakers sound or acoustic amp quality.

NOTICE GLOBAL

I've had 3 years and I think its new price is a little lev but I do not question its quality and especially the rendering obtained subsidized loan which my sound very convincing electro fawn. I sold my first ad-8 to take a prempli para home lr bags but I came back to the ad-8 which is a little known product but fulfills its functions.

1 guitar input, a headphone input format (jack), an output amplifier for "electric quitare" 2 amp outputs if you use 2 amp (mono or stereo) and two XLR outputs to transplant on a mixer.

2 foot-switch allows up or down to the choice of memory and another one to put the pedal bypass

Simple setup, just turn the knobs for adjusting the sound ...

SOUND QUALITY

This is where the shoe pinches .... agree it gives more depth to the sound but then to say that it is an effect recemmander AWAY FROM!!

Plugged into an electrical PE6B Parker, I have absolutely not bleuffé ... I must say that my guitar has a piezo microphone and a neck pickup Assayable ....

OVERALL OPINION

So I have not been happy with this effect .... at least for the price at which it is sold.
Luckily I had on loan from a friend! Otherwise I would have spent the money for NOTHING!

Picked this unit up at Sam Ash for $349

I love the sound gives my acoustic Taylor 310-ce and Guild small-body. I have to turn my gain way down on the P.A. because it boosts the signal. (A big plus) The Boss AD-8 is also very easy to use. It is easy to change the paramaters of the presets (EQ, effects) Four presets are more than enough for my needs.

I haven't found anything yet.

The unit is heavy fot it's size. Very durable.

I have used this unit on gigs and is east to set up. I use the XLR cord on a peavy P.A. head and it sounds great. I can't wait to use it in the recording Studio

Multi effects for acoustic guitar.

UTILIZATION

Configurer.Facile simple., The handbook comes with sample setting. Folk, blues etc etc

SOUND QUALITY

The reverb is a little cold belle.Un my opinion.
What I did not like the c is to have bought in a music store, and I realized came to me, that it was necessary that I even bought an adapter Boss model Psa.Eh yes, it comes without an adapter. No matter what.

Beware the Power Box does not come with. This is the wrong side of the features for the price because z'auraient have made an effort.

UTILIZATION

Operation is very simple and requires little to read the doc that came with.
Three levels of rerverb are accessible from a single pot. Reverb I find unconvincing. A multi-position selector switch also allows different guitar sounds kind Martin, Gibson etc.. There frankly I tried with three different-Electric (Yamaha, Olympia, Taylor) and I found that the effects from so-called techno COSM were virtually ineffective. Can store its settings ds 4 memories. If you come to preset 4 different sounds made in terms of sound (I say worthy of a model) then I say congratulations!
Anti Not too much feedback works on the other hand.
The XLR is a boon for those who want to transplant a mix, no need for DI box.
Employment is this-it very easy. I put 8 for use

SOUND QUALITY

This is where the craft should make the most it provides is least. Everything you expect from such a device is to provide the depth, warmth to the sound of our guitars, to give clarity to our piezo and break the often too sharp metal. I have another opportunity to try its little brother the BOSS AD-5 which works great compared to the AD-8. In this case we see very little difference between without and with AD-8. It's pretty bad and completely unnecessary expense. In my case, fortunately I'll be able to repay me immediately. Sound quality is very poor and which earned him a nasty note.

The Boss AD-8 is an acoustic guitar multi-effects processor.  It has a ton of different features and effects and is designed for the acoustic guitar performer who wants all of their effects and sound processing in a signal unit.  The pedal has ¼ inch connections and is powered by the power supply that comes with it.  It isn’t rackable – it is a guitar foot pedal.



UTILIZATION

The make up of the Boss AD-8 is pretty easy to follow, but there is a lot going on and will take a little bit of time to get used to what everything does.  In terms of parameters, the pedal has knobs for output level, reverb (with three different types of reverbs to choose from), body type, body level, string enhance and a section for EQ that has knobs for bass, two for middle, one of treble and one for presence.  The pedal also has a section for saving sounds, which is a really cool feature in my opinion.  There are also three large foot switches for this memory feature and for turning the effects on and off.  The manual is put together pretty well and if you have access to it I would recommend having it around as there are a lot of ins and outs to this pedal.


SOUND QUALITY

While in general I’m not a big fan of effects on acoustic guitars, this pedal does sound good and I can see how it would definitely come in handy for live shows.  The reverb sounds really good but the acoustic modeling section and EQ sections are probably the most useful.  If you are looking to get your acoustic guitar sounding a bit more precise and pristine, the Boss AD-8 definitely offers that possibility.


OVERALL OPINION

I’ve only used the Boss AD-8 a handful of times and haven’t used it for any live shows, but I would definitely recommend checking out this pedal if you want to get some effects and sound modeling going with your acoustic guitar for live shows or even for home use.  I wouldn’t recommend using this for recording as I always like to record acoustic guitar clean and do what I want with it later on in the mixing process.  The price is quite reasonable for a pedal of this nature and overall the Boss AD-8 is definitely worth a look.
