Excellent
Nearfield speakers mix.
This is Dan Suter talented mix and mastering engineer who drew my attention to these small speakers mixes. He mixes himself with PSI A215M but needs a small window to see what happens in the very important area of 300-3000Hz. He swears by small C-Box 2.
SOUNDS
I tested my turn and I'm amazed by the quality of these small speakers that I find, are very versatile. In general, I mastered on my pregnant favorite PSI A21 and then I look at how it works on a small screen. So far, I used the Active Avantones sounding very skimpy low cut, high cut ... so very well for the small screen ...
Abacus Box C-2 are the same except they descend lower (serious and impressive with an adjustable gain knob) and higher (what precision and smooth) ... and suddenly, I found myself simply to take a great pleasure to listen to my masters, to feel the emotion through the musicality of C-Box 2.
OVERALL OPINION
I found pleasure mix, listen sensory, sensual way, both transparency and superb musicianship with these speakers I would call excellent desktop speakers.
The value for money is excellent at this price point there are few speakers that are as well and then what is impressive is how these small speakers descend into the grave.
Outstanding audio quality so. If I had only downside is that the speaker input is rca ... unlike most active in Xlr. A soldering!
