Personally, this is value for money, a monitoring system with two satellites and sub not worth € 400 elsewhere. As the first system monitoring I am completely satisfied.
For what purpose? What amp / What configuration? ...
Used with a m-audio 1010LT (internal sound card) connected to a pc rca upscale. Level connection nothing wrong with a pre-amp that can set the sub gain + gain. Button behind the box, and of course they are amplified.
SOUNDS
The frequency curve is sufficiently neutral?
Yes, notice of amateur not too bad ear.
The dynamics are respected?
Frankly we can all mounted more than 50%, which is already huge for just mixed or compound in computer music, but they stumble. Above 50% and there are quite a few sizzling distortion but very light. And I would not put more than 75% of my vitality hearing. But the dynamic is impeccable.
The sound is clear and precise across the spectrum?
Impeccable above 50/60 Hz when you want to do modeling and worked the bass below that spoils, but they are like the sound of the sub too loud slap and when it is a little messed up rendering over some distortion, but at the same time faillais expect.
The stereo image is good?
So if we talk about here is niquel spatialization.
But I defer a point on the phase shift with respect to or placed his ear. Compared to comment on the former model 2.1 I think it was well corrected, but beware there is still the weak point of the model with a phase shift which feels good.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 6 semmaines value for money is great.
Bémole is the need to be careful in Ableton Live is that the sampling frequency is set correctly, it took me a while to disappear painful sizzling very strong and pronounced as live. But hey this is a problem that software was perhaps the m-audio too.
If I had to put the speakers in the same price I would do this purchase eyes closed. But I think if we really want to be very sharp especially in the sub-bass is better to take superior quality.
