« I'm very happy with them »

After several years of reading articles on "Sound On Sound," DynAudio products often come up as reference products in the mid-to-high end market. The BM5A are always the spearhead among similar products.
I wanted a couple of monitors to start my home studio and, since they are the last link in the chain, you really need to get the best you can afford.
They are expensive (but not too much), not too big, not too small, and they provide a good volume in my office/home studio. (See image)

SOUNDS

Regarding the sound, the designers at Dynaudio made a good compromise with the tweeters: The high frequencies are very nice while remaining detailed.
Only low-frequency crackpots would be tempted to buy a subwoofer (BM9?). But I recommend you start without one and you will educate you ear with a reference, non-colored and clear sound. Afterwards, it's your call, but personally I didn't want one.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall, they are a very good investment. I've had them for 5 years and they measure up fine.

Am important advice: Invest on optimizing your listening room. I did by installing foams in the corners and it's amazing how the room is drier and the lows are cleaner! See the image attached.
