Active speakers two way bi-amplified Class A / B.
They are designed for nearfield or small cabins of mixing.
They have a bass reflex front, thereby placing them easily.

I bought them as main monitor system for my home studio / mix station, on the advice of one of my professors at the SAE Paris.

SOUNDS

These speakers are neutral, it is far from Genelec.

According to the curve of the manufacturer, they are nearly linear 2dB, 60Hz to 22KHz.

They have good momentum and good transient response.
When the stereo I understood what a phantom center when I listened the first time. We feel a true center between the speakers, not a swamp sound between two points of distribution.

The only slight defect, typical 2-way loudspeaker, is the point of crossover that can sometimes play tricks if highlights were a source very medium, like a guitar.
Specifically, if you supercharge a guitar solo to 2K, it can be placed properly hair cell on O-110 and be a bit too strong on another system.
Since the point of crossover changes from one system to another, one is faced with this problem. Personally I've realized all at once or I had actually put forward a guitar solo (too) medium.

Their only real failure is inherent in their size: they lack some real serious, especially for listening "leisure". I find them to mix serious enough, since 100Hz is perfectly rendered.
K + H manufactures a subwoofer to accompany the O-110, but I've never needed to buy them.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought them in August 2010 as a gift at the end of the study after my graduation SAE. This is one of my best purchases.
These speakers have quickly become my references, they offer powerful sound, clear and unadorned for a small footprint.
No staining is crude and it can hurt when you're used to other forums that flatter a bit (I think the big Genelec, for example). The K + H O-110 restore what you send, and if it is not good, you'll figure it out soon realize. They are a bit cruel but at least what sounds good with sound good everywhere.

I listened to a lot of speakers before deciding, but it is by listening to the range K + H expo in the SCR of 2010 I fell in love.
They are expensive but this performance in a small box at a cost. And there are more expensive models and worse.

I also use it to play music for fun.
I remake that choice without hesitation.
