What motivated my choice is the brand awareness (KRK only does so specialized monitoring), the value for money and the different plays that I could be in store.
I use it in a home studio for mixing and premaster, especially hip-hop/electro prod.
Config: MacBook Pro unibody, Apogee Duet audio interface, preamp, guitar, bass, ...

SOUNDS

In stores, in the same category, I tested the yam NS10, M-Audio and the famous KRK.
Clearly the first I was thrilled ... listening to the M-Audio, I thought it was too flattering in low and also in the midrange and the seller advised me it is precisely because cells-that they chattered more ... but the goal is to have a neutral listening! no? NS10 and even if it is a standard, I was disappointed: (. To return to KRK I found that the stereo was really good, good to be said before I have some big stews (Behring) was so radical change ... but the stereo still haunted me, there are well each instrument, and we rediscover albums. They are perhaps a little flattering in the midrange but nothing annoying. I'm working on an album and I mixed with these speakers and when I went into the studio for mastering, I have not had any big surprises, so very happy!
speakers have a big potato, they are precise with their rounded edges that do not impede the sounds ... important for my taste.

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for 6 months ... and as I said earlier I tested the M-Audio, Yam NS10, the Berhinger.

what I like most is their value for money, design and atypical power.
what I like least, uh .. ie?! ;)

clearly I would do the same choice, it corresponds perfectly to what I was looking for.
