Description of the tannoy Cheviot
(Series "Tannoy HPD"):
These are dual concentric (HPD)
weighing over 30 kg / piece.

(85h/45L/26P centimeters).
Each speaker is hand signed numbered by
(on) a technician.
Dual Concentric tweeter as consisting of a
medium and severe (23 centimeters).
The tweeter is a grave inside the medium
in a metal cone (horn = horn)

This gives an effect of "point of origin"
which is used in cabasse
(15 years according to Christophe Cabasse)
in the Baltic, IO, sphere etc..

each speaker has settings
for frequencies.
Surround / half roll / foam
are neoprene with little deflection (tension).

SOUNDS

My opinion:
baffles impressed by the variety
how serious can return.
the treble is less present (or his English
warm).
Tannoy has marketed "super tweeter" (very expensive)
to compensate for this lack.
Fragile as equipped with half rolls of thirty years
Neoprene, which are stretched (so little movement).
this little break if you push too much with the "boom boom"
or explosion (movie DVD)
but takes a long push (nag?).

I couples with Cabasses
to compensate for the treble.

OVERALL OPINION

Conclusion:

the "princesses", but do not push too
on dvd or music boom boom because of the half-roll of neoprene.
listening a warm / English.
lack of acute can be annoying
it depends on taste.
excellent acoustics for music, classical
or even the voice (Strange to).
