The Tapco S8 monitor speakers are active 2-way (bi-amplified 60W for the dome 1 "and 60W for the woofer 8"). Power is largely sufficient to use Home Studio. The woofer 8 "provides good bass response and the tweeter 1" silk is less tiring for acute ... The wind from the rear bass reflex is so careful placement.
Level connections, you can choose between balanced or unbalanced inputs and it is possible to chain the two speakers. (See manual on the site www.tapcogear.com (http://www.tapcogear.com)).
For rglage ACCS was at one of the qualisation of acute (-2db, 0, 2 db) from 5Khz qualisation and low (0, + 2db; 4 db) 100 Hz I regret the impossibility of de-2db mitigate the serious frquences that could be useful to compensate for speaker placement proximity of a wall.
The finish is impccable anything. Connectivity without being high-end is OK.
I use to listen to music and mixing records in my group (hardcore metal)
SOUNDS
The curve frequency drives announced by the manufacturer is 40Hz-20kHz + /-3dB, but objectively it is hard to say whether trs curve is neutral. It seems at least relatively linear and adapts Home studio use. The highs are prcis the mdiums Retailer, Submitted and serious without being intrusive and down low enough (that is what motivated my choice for an 8 ").
The directivity is large enough highs on these speakers, it must be in line with the tweeter to hear everything.
The power is to go, just enough for a local 20/30m.
Stereo image is good.
I find my opinion the Tapco more efficient than other speakers in the same price range (2031 behringer, alesis mkII, yamaha NS10).
The rating is based on the price ....
OVERALL OPINION
I use them for 7 months. For the price I am very happy (259 pice). The report qualitprix is really very good.
They are suited what I wanted and my use (home studio and listen to leisure).
