Alfred Music Publishing has announced their latest installment in the Total series, The Total Blues Bassist.
The Total series is designed to provide beginning-to-intermediate students with “the tools needed to become a great player, ” while more advanced students will find “many useful tips and a fresh perspective, ” according to Alfred.
The Total Blues Bassist is designed to present the basics needed to master the blues, such as left- and right-hand technique, but also advanced concepts like using silence and dynamics to help create more interesting bass lines—with all examples demonstrated on the included CD. Learn how to lock in with the drummer, guitarist, and singer, and even learn how to play without a drummer. Also, discover styles like Delta blues, Chicago blues, Texas blues, rockabilly, funk, and jazz blues.
