The Complete Idiot's Guide to Bluegrass Mandolin Favorites

Alfred expands the Complete Idiot's Guide series by introducing The Complete Idiot's Guide to Bluegrass Mandolin Favorites, a way to master your favorite bluegrass songs on mandolin.

All songs and music examples are arranged in full music notation and TAB, including chord diagrams, and all are demonstrated on the included enhanced CDs.

Using Alfred’s Tone 'N’ Tempo software on the included CDs, this educational book provides customized learning by allowing the user to loop sections for practice, slow tracks down or speed them up without changing the pitch, switch back and forth between the full-performance and play-along tracks, and even change keys. The CDs can also be played in a conventional CD player.

Pricing & Availability

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Bluegrass Mandolin Favorites is now available in a book and two CD format for $24.99.

Pick up your copy at a local music retail store, or buy it at www.alfred.com/cig.

Mandolin is a very versitile instrument but the only genre for which books are published is bluegrass.

You're definitely right, it's very difficult to find books for Mandolin that aren't bluegrass. In case you're interested, we do have a series called Just for Fun that includes Mandolin (banjo, ukulele, and guitar too) and isn't just bluegrass. You can find more info on them at www.alfred.com/justforfun. There are songbooks with arrangements for Easy Rock, Classic Rock, Jazz, Pop, and Christmas.

    Hope that helps!
