SOUNDS

I did not detect any breath.
There is no EQ (useless on a mixer of this type. Rarely use Live)
There is a limit parameterization and a low-cut filter

OVERALL OPINION

I've used the Shure mixer, and the FP32A FP33A to be exact, and I recently acquired the Rolls MX422. I use it for three months, and I am extremely happy. Next feature, everything is there. phantom power, limiter, low cut, output mic / line, 1kHz tone and so on.

Concerning the quality, nothing wrong, the preamps are quiet, the buttons are easy to use, the difference in sound quality for me is imperceptible compared to the shure. Petite very interesting feature, there is a battery compartment "backup". The mixer is powered by two 9v batteries but there are two additional compartments. So by filming, if the batteries fall flat, no need to stop everything to change, just a button to switch to another set of batteries. Very handy.

Two elements which I have some reservations. The VU meters are a little harder to read than the shure because they are smaller. nothing dramatic. For they are very well against backlit by a blue LED.

The case is probably also less resistant than the SHURE ... the metal is thinner. But enough to see several hundred hours of shooting, I'm sure.

In short, this mix gives us at least 95% of what one has with one or Shure Sound device for one-half months of the price!
