Monophonic 2 1/2 octaves.

VCO 2, rather 1 + 1 Sub oscillator VCO adjustable relative to the first VCO tone, with independent volume. Everything else is common.
All features have been described in other opinions to read.

No memory, no grave, no need not to note on paper its settings all easily found, 1 button = 1 function.

The inputs and outputs are grouped into one single stereo jack 6.35, CV or GATE group (TRIG for Moog) damage! We would have preferred separate inputs and outputs.
There is also an input for an audio signal. I have not had the opportunity to try what happens, for example, return a guitar etc ...

UTILIZATION

The manual is adequate, it will be happening for those fluent Research monophonic synth. More electronic diagram is provided with a complete list of components. Practice in case of failure, if you bring in a specialist.

The use I make, basses, leads with tuning the third or fifth between the VCO and VCO Sub.

No MIDI sequences I recorded WAV PC in a tempo approximate. Softwares for PC will remain in the "syncro" for rhythm and worth going.
The synth is controlled by a Sequential or a PRO ONE ROLAND CSQ 100.
This Rogue is used in my "part-time", ie that it is not the main object of my home studio. It happens sometimes long periods when not in use.

This little Rogue has undergone some changes, with a handle and removable shoulder strap, it can be used as a keytar, with handle on the right to play the keyboard with the left hand, otherwise it returns to its original configuration .
So far it features wooden sides, it gives a much more vintage.

Sound MOOG, MOOG always. Sounds pretty basic.

OVERALL OPINION

He has 30 years of loyal service in 2013.

This is my second synth and mono (my first was a Korg MS20 + SQ10 all exchanged against a PRO ONE + CSQ100).

I keep it, it is an ideal companion for adding leads, basses, etc. ..

Moog Music Rogue, the only purpose for use using and getting this was for the anaolog synths. We where looking for those old synths used in electronic music from way back and we came across a ton of software and tried most of it out but nothing served us better than the Moog Music Rogue after using it at the store we started to save our money up for it so we could have our own in the studio. The price of it really isn’t that bad, but you only get 25 keys and not the full board which can be a hassle for me sometimes because I like to play the low end bass notes with melody lines at the same time before I record so I can get a better feel for where im going with the full song. So for the price you will pay for this, I wanted to have at least 61 keys.


UTILIZATION

No problem getting started using it, its like most boards are. Just mess around and eventually you will get the hang of it and figure everything you are looking for out.


SOUNDS

The sounds are the only reason I was interested in it. The sounds are great for all types of music, but we wanted that electric analog synth sounds that we could make our own for our music. We have found exactly the type of sounds we where looking for in the Moog Music Rogue. I hope they come out with another version of it, if they havent already. We still have it, but don’t use it as much anymore because we have used it almost every day from 2009 to 2011. We are still in search of more boards similar to the set up of this one.


OVERALL OPINION

Great sounds, and great piece of gear. I am happy to have purchased this and the money was well spent. We go more than our money’s worth out of the Moog Music Rogue .

The moog music rogue is an analog synth that was designed by moog music. This is a classic analog synth that has been used for quit some time now. It is Very basic in its design and use, the Rogue has a 32-note keyboard and two VCOs. VCO number 2 is tunable between a half-step below to an octave above number 1. This allows the Rogue to play sounds like the Moog Prodigy. The Rogue did not have features to allow the user full flexibility to program the patch settings, however the VCF and the VCA were simple in operation. The design of the hardwired patch system was well thought out and a very wide variety of sounds and modulation effects are possible. The Rogue also includes a sample and hold type of feature that the Prodigy does not . The synthesizer is most commonly used for its powerful bass. The Rogue is similar in some respects to the famous Arp odysy , even though its smaller than the Odysy is.


UTILIZATION

The Moog Rogue is great for all types of music no matter what your taste is. I use it in rock and pop, the synth is also great for electronic and dance music, and would probably work great with just about any type of music you would like to use it with. The synth sounds are unique and in great variety. It is easy to get a number of different sound for all types of uses. The traditional bass and lead Moog sounds are great and the wide parameters make for a ton of unique tones. The expressiveness is great and it is overall easy to play.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall I have been using it for about a year and half now and I love every minute of it, it’s a real Moog synth. But this is one of the cheaper models, but that doesn’t mean it lacks quality. You can get this moog for about a 1000 less than the other models by moog.

UTILIZATION

Trs really simple. We play with the pots and it takes a great sound. No need to take the head.
The Moog Rogue is rare and mostly because he makes great bass with the Moog sound for a fraction of the price of a Minimoog ... So it's a great device.

SOUNDS

The Rogue has a more percussive sound, attack more violent than the Minimoog. It is also more limited at the inception, but so far he does he does very well trs.
Super basses, expressive leads trs. With a grain a little dirty inimitable.
In this type of synth there is no photo, from a sh-02 and such a Rogue, the Rogue is more current, has more bass and more PCHE.

OVERALL OPINION

It's a great device, which is still a reasonable score. It's a Little Phatty quivqlent vintage.
Note that the internal rglages are accessible from the back of the synth with a screwdriver, so no need to re-open for the tuner.
Mine is stable trs sampler and I like these sounds, which in the mix sounds a lot better than any plug-in ...
It is rare in France trs. If you find a purchase in my opinion is a better investment than stock market or a libretto A <lol>

Great sound Moog
Monophonic and without presets of course, there has to be very aggressive particulatité.
The bass is very harsh and oily and the use of two oscillators is quite fun.
Overall the sounds are very current
It is less basic and more unusual for the Prodigy although very similar.

The Moog Rogue is very easy to use

I was looking for bass coming out of the mix by their power and presence

It lacks, however, some possibilities of modulation, even if it is not about this keyboard.

OVERALL OPINION

I hesitated between the Rogue and Prodigy, which seemed quite similar. the rogue won.
I use it for 5 months and I'm still surprised by his power of his.
In conclusion it should be noted that this is a solid and sturdy keyboard.

The Moog Music Rogue is a analog synthesizer that has 25 keys, which is about 2 and a half octaves. It has both pitch and modulation wheels and has 1/4 inch outputs to send it to an amp, or for sustain, as well as a few other things. It is mostly a monophonic synth.

UTILIZATION

The set up of the Rogue is pretty easy to get going and most shouldn't have too much of a problem getting it to work. For the inexperienced synth user, the Rogue can take some getting used to simply because there are so many different parameters. This being said, after a bit of practice everything falls in to place and it all makes sense. The experienced synth user should have no problems with the Rogue as it isn't too complicated. I don't have a manual for this, but if you can find one it would probably come in handy when learning how to use this.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the Moog Rogue for about two years and have found it to be a great option in terms of real Moog synthesizers. It is one of the cheaper models if you can find one used and still has all of the great sounds and options you look for in a Moog Music keyboard. Compared to the Moog MG-1, this is more versatile and has the handy pitch and modulation wheels, which the MG-1 does not. While it isn't as versatile as a Moog Voyager, it has a lot of the same capabilities and is a great option for those looking for a real Moog synth without spending a few thousand (US) dollars.
